I know it won't affect us, it's not even in our country, but this, to me, stinks of subterfuge and a hidden agenda to announce this while a club is, not only in administration, but is actively looking at four different offers! Talk about a cat among the pigeons!

I thought the article about Portsmouth was just as revealing. They are now £58M in debt, £20M more than when they came out of administration two years ago!!!

Well that was a big surprise as they continued to pay some of their players upwards of 35K a week! How could anbody not realise that this was just an impossible situation to find themselves in! Who allowed this kind of business model to continue without thinking about the longer term?

Talk about bad business managment! Apparently Tal Ben Haim was signed on a four year, 36k a week deal in 2009 - how could anyone have thought this was a good idea?

Am I alone in thinking that if Rangers are liquidated, shouldn't they be thrown out of the scottish league?
Any 'Newco' should be forced to start from scratch. If they were to be allowed to continue in the SPL then
surely any club running into finantial difficulties would then do the same, knowing that the penalties are minimal.(maybe they
wouldn't win the title, but would still get the tv cash)

I believe they were also paying the wages of players they sold on, and the installments of the transfer fees.

And then there would be the cut Harry worked into the contract ;)

That's where the new rules come in! Instead of having to start from scratch, they are deducted 15 points in the current season, then 10 points at the start of the next two seasons!

My point is, bringing this in now, when Rangers have 4 offers on the books, with a chance of saving liquidation, this suggestion of new rules is going to make the 'saviours' retract their offer!
