Terrible news to hear Pompey are only weeks away from vanishing. Just read that Tal Ben Haim is still on £36k a week in League 1. That is madness, a yearly wage of around £2m. You would think the high earning players would scrap their contracts and save the club some money. But if, and I hope they don't, go under then would that mean a free spot in League 1 for Rangers? I know the FA has said before that they don't want Scottish teams playing in England, but could they be swayed by the fact that the club could bring a lot of money and exposure to the league. Should Charlie Green test the water and apply for a licence in England or go down the route of the Mad Hatter and revert back to our licence we held over 100 years ago?
I am, decent supporters, not their fault their club has been run into the ground. Plus Pompey played Gers a few years back and the crack between the pair was supposed to be top notch.
Medro, after the Manchester disgrace, I think you'll find most English fans will not want your supporters within a hundred miles of their towns and cities.
Chelsea fans went up to Manchester wearing Rangers shirts and smashed up Piccadilly Gardens all because a screen showing the football wasn't working?
Chelsea fans????????????????????? Addresses in the court convictions were places like Govan, Larkhall, Dundee etc etc.......Helluva lot of Chelsea fans in Scotland wearing RFC tops in Manchester. This guy Pendes is a nutcase. 1. WOuld Div 1 want another club which is on the verge of a second Admin and possibly second liquidation??? 2. Sevco have a history which is only 1 month old. D&P Creditors statement and Plus Ex letters proved that the club and the company RFCLtd are one and the same and will be liquidated in a couple of weeks, so how would a brand new club get into Div ahead of all other English clubs. 3. Another Debt sodden club, which refused twice to pay taxes...............................yeah England would love that one and the FA would jump at it. Pedro.............get back to Carstairs FFS.
Why would Rangers apply for Pompey's League 1 spot when their club is in the formalities of liquidation and Pompey are still a football club?
I'm takin the piss. 1. On the verge of 2nd admin & liquidation? According to who? 2. Well don't clubs apply to be in the football league? 3. I don't think the FA would be bothered about Rangers financial history. They would be more worried about other issues.
