No i would claim he is Scottish there is one fundamental rule for me and that is what ever language you master first in what ever country makes you that nationality, Lukas Podolski for example i would claim he is German not polish.

I don't see your point in the no nationalities, even when there was no such thing it can still be traced back to what that country it is now so i don't believe that at all just because hundreds of years ago people didn't know there was that many nations on the earth that nationalities where important doesn't mean that they shouldn't have existed back then.

As for that wee tattie headed aiden mcgeady he can get bent.

Think we'll need to agree to disagree on that one then, although the language thing is an interesting point. For the record, I think we can all agree regarding McGeady.

So could you pick any country if you felt an affinity to a country because it had a good name? If so, I want to be Eritrean.
