Highlights from an honest appraisal from my stripey mate on Facebook this morning were:

    "Couldnae lace McAusland's boots"
"£4.5k a week load of danger danger"
"would be back in the Juniors if it wisnae furra Saints"
"No even half the player Broadfoot was for us"
"Still, he's only 29, that's young for the Huns is it no?" <laugh>
"aye, and it isn't like he has a history of bad injuries"

Three Buddie mates of mine were arguing in the pub the other week about who their worst player last season was - 2 of them voted for McGregor - the other one said he was injured too much and it was unfair to say he was the worst.

Obviously, the guy who put all that on Facebook this morning is being just the eency weenciest bit bitter about it but, having seen St Mirren quite a few times the last few years, I do agree that McAusland is the better centre half.

I know a few Saints fans and they are none too pleased seeing as how he's been injured for nearly two seasons, but who can blame him when he's quadrupled his wages?

I've been told he's pretty good but whether he's worth £4k a week remains to be seen. Especially if he gets injured again.
