13/12/2017 : Thank You, Neil. You recognise historical reality of Rangers, maybe you could speak to those who do not. The former Celtic manager said: "They're still in the embryonic stages of building to try and get back to where they were, and that takes a bit of time. "We respect them, I think it will be a difficult game. They are second in the league, but they should be second in the league with the resources they have. Skysports - Hibernian v Rangers preview

SPL (SPFL1), Wednesday 13/12/2017 : Hibernian 1-2 Rangers That was an entertaining if at times nerve-wracking match, with an excellent result, giving Rangers four consecutive wins for the first time since December last year. Rangers stay 2nd, ahead of Aberdeen on GD and goals scored. Attendance : 20,057 (SSN) SPL matches, 12-13/12/2017 : Tuesday 12th December Heart of Midlothian 2-0 Dundee Ross County 2-2 Kilmarnock Wednesday 13th December Celtic 3-1 Hamilton Academical Hibernian 1-2 Rangers Partick Thistle 3-2 Motherwell St Johnstone 0-3 Aberdeen
SPL (SPFL1), Saturday 16/12/2017 : Rangers v St Johnstone, KO 15:00 hours. 14/12/2017 : With Aberdeen and Hibernian playing each other this weekend, a fifth win in a row could give Rangers the chance to go 3 points clear of Aberdeen, or both Rangers and Aberdeen to go 9 points clear of Hibernian. SPL (SPFL1), Saturday 16/12/2017 : Rangers 1-3 St Johnstone That was a poor performance from Rangers today, which I can summarise in one word : indecision. The flowing play I expect from Rangers came instead from St Johnstone, who applied pressure to close our players down and were incisive in their passing moves when breaking out. Their goals were a worldie followed by two freebies, but the latter two were earned. The overall winners from today are Aberdeen who go 2nd, 3 points ahead of Rangers. We are now 3rd and 6 points ahead of Hibernian. SPL (SPFL1), Saturday 23/12/2017 : Kilmarnock v Rangers, KO 12:30 hours - BT Sport. 21/12/2017 : Rangers have another opportunity to close the gap(s) to Aberdeen and/or Celtic, who play each other in a full complement of matches on Saturday. But will the opportunity be taken ? SPL (SPFL1), Saturday 23/12/2017 : Kilmarnock 2-1 Rangers The better team won today, with former Rangers man Kris Boyd turning a 0-1 HT deficit into a 2-1 win for Kilmarnock. Rangers stay 3rd and as I feared, have not taken the opportunity to close the gap(s) to Aberdeen and/or Celtic. Attendance : 11,490 (SSN)

SPL (SPFL1), Wednesday 27/12/2017 : Rangers 2-0 Motherwell Rangers back to winning ways. The game was no classic but Danny Wilson's opening goal was. Morelos scored Rangers' second and Rangers retain 3rd place tonight, as Aberdeen won their match too. SSN will be showing the goals from the SPL games after 22:00 hours tonight. Attendance : 49,273 (SSN) SPL matches, 26 & 27/12/2017 : Tuesday 26th December Dundee 0-2 Celtic Wednesday 27th December Aberdeen 1-0 Partick Thistle Hamilton Academical v Kilmarnock - Postponed, frozen pitch * Heart of Midlothian 0-0 Hibernian Rangers 2-0 Motherwell Ross County 1-1 St Johnstone * I thought these artificial pitches were supposed to be all-weather, playable once any snow had been cleared away.
SPL (SPFL1), Saturday 30/12/2017 : Celtic v Rangers, KO 12:00 hours, SKY. 28/12/2017 : It is the Big Match Round two on Saturday. Rangers' task is to end Celtic's current unbeaten run of three matches. This full complement of games is the last round of SPL matches in 2017.
