Good to see Dean Shiels grab a wonderful goal last night against the mighty Luxemburg. Andy Little had to pull out and return to Glasgow with a foot injury. Hopefully not to bad for the fella cause he has been smashing them in.

Steve Davis played well last night but was a little sloppy in posession at times, somethingI'm sure a lot of us can remember. He was outstanding 1 week and missing the next, have to say I didn't think he was the right choice to captain us last season.

Lafferty had a frustrating night. The Luxemburg defence played very high up the pitch and he just couldn't seem to be able to beat their offside trap, getting caught something silly like 12 or 13 times offside. He scored 2 that were ruled out, 1 was a cracker from the edge of the box that did show he was marginally off. The other was supposedly for a push in the box that the ref got wrong.

Looking at Shiels, his link up play and finishing I don't think we'll miss the Laffbot. Davis on the otherhand still looks a decent player and some of the passes he was trying were top notch. But that's all in the past now and that's ****ey international football over for another while, thank god.

Davis has looked decent for Saints, Lafferty was an expensive mistake tbh.

Still, at least he got it up the Tims <laugh>

    They really did hate him.

In my opinion he wasn't worth the £3.5m or whatever we paid for him. To inconsistent, yet as long as he wore the blue shirt he always got my support.
