It would seem that Sir Neil isn't a happy bunny at the moment due to the clubs office staff not understanding the intricacies of the rules and regulations regarding the signing of players. In Warnocks press conference he said that Barton would be playing, but he didn't as we all know, and it wasn't until during the game itself that Luke Young was officially announced, yet Warnock now says that he was signed but we didn't know what time he had to be signed by in order to play. So it would seem that in both cases we signed them before 5pm on Friday, which is when the club thought they had to be signed by in order to play, only to find out that is was 12pm. Now this might be a small oversight by some office bod at Rangers, and to be honest I'd have thought the Manager would make it his business to know something like that, but on top of the whole dirty Faurlin saga last year, in which we entrusted Palidini to do the paper work on the complicated transfer, which we all know nearly cost us dear, this shows a worrying trend at the club In other words we don't have a feckin clue. Now this leads me on to the crux of the post. We've all seen in the last week or so that both Fernandes and Bhatia are very keen to get our views on what should happen at the club and what has made us unhappy. So I was thinking that maybe it's time that all of the Rangers fans on here, who are also on Twitter, message both Amit and Tony and start a campaign to get Sheila Marsden her job back at the club as it seems the club needs her more now than ever. For those who don't know who she is, she was the long standing club secretary who was sacked for supposedly leaking some info or some other bull****. But she is supposed to have been an integral part of the club and loved within it and I think she deserves another chance under the new owners. I know there are other Rangers fans who feel very strongly regarding her sacking, and I know some of you will think so what. I just thought she is one person that would serve the club well at a time when we are making silly mistakes that could cost us dear in the future. Does anyone else agree?
I'm in. Nico De Marco admitted to writing that anti-Briatore email, it was not Sheila. I've got a link to it somewhere, hold on..... Here it is, from the Proboards http://qprreport.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=8299
Nice one Rollercoaster. Well I shall start it on twitter soon, and hopefully the snowball will start rolling. On twitter I'm @osamabinliner69
I couldn't agree more. Sheila Marson was Mrs QPR, She basically ran QPR back in the day. I had the pleasure of dealing with her back in 2000. A quick story of how she worked...ie efficiently... I was working as one of the Fire-Officers at QPR, ( 1998- 2002 ) Whilst on holiday in Turkey in 2000, during the Euro Championships, I met the Turkish & Galatasary Capt 'Bulent Korkmaz,' ( He was the Turkish version of David Beckham at the time. All beit in defender form...and if the roles were reversed can you imagine Beckham accomodating a Turkish fan & doing the same?) He was very accomodating, and was recuperating ( and celebrating his 10th Wedding anniversary with his wife & family ) from a dislocated shoulder which he received during the UEFA Cup final v Arsenal, which they won on penalties. After a a couple of drinks together, we got to chatting about football. He asked me who I followed, and of course I responded with QPR and expected a shrug of the shoulders. But he knew who we were, and said that his father-in-law had been educated in England and now that it came close to hanging up his boots he would like to finish his career there and get his children ( x2 ) whilst playing there educated in England. So I mentioned that I worked there and that maybe I could arrange something. He said yes, ''I will play for QPR'' I said that ..at the time we were in the 2nd tier, but he didn't mind. ''Get me to England.. I will give you 10%! '' So.. ( with much trepidtation, I summoned up the courage to tell Sheila ) When I told her she said.. '' That's great.. Tell Iain. Before I knew it, I was sat down at Gerry Francis's desk ( Manager at the time, with Dowie his no.2 )and Iain Dowie sat the other side as I told my story. Iain said that he knew Bulent via his brother as his brother Michael was working as a coach in Turkey at the time. Bulent was a great player, and he would bring him to QPR no problem, but he and Gerry were going to be sacked the next week, the following week Iain & Gerry were sacked and Ian Holloway came in. I very nearly played a part in QPR's history. But the point is... Sheila had no qualms about pointing me straight to Iain, whoever I was. She would do whatever it took for the best of QPR!
Who knows, but it would nice for her to be given the chance. I'm going to start something on twitter now and will pass it on to all Rangers fans I know on there, if you could all just start retweeting so it gets noticed by the powers that be.
I sent a message to Tony and Amit, that sounds so strange, so if you do want to show your support either message me or follow me on Twitter @osamabinliner69, or look out for people like aerospace Mango if you have him on there. Thanks
Didn't we make a hash of signging Tommy Smith from Portsmouth? Ended up taking him on loan until the next transfer window if I remember correctly.
