Was it Peter Lawell who scored for East Stirling?

2-1 now I hear. Obvioulsy Rangers class will count in the end so they will probably hold out for a win now, maybe even by a couple of goals.

I don't see it as being any less competitive now that Rangers have departed or any less competitive than SFL3.

    Maybe that's just me though.

Teams taking the lead against Rangers will probably happen a few times this season, as long as Rangers win in the end I don't care.

Nah not at all pud I've had lots of fun today.

About 3 bus loads of sheep shaggers have went past my back windows and all received a very warm welcome from my flatmates and myself <ok>

Neither do I and thats my point, you will romp the title and if you don't it will have nothing to do with rangers not being there or the SPL being more competitive.

If you do not convincingly win the title then I believe it has nothing to do with better SPL teams or because Rangers are not in the SPL.

The same goes for rangers, if we don't win the 3rd division easily then the players and the manager will have underachieved - the same goes for you lot.

I don't think anyone has ever suggested that the other SPL teams would improve in quality if Rangers were not there. Celtic and Rangers should both win their respective leagues comfortably, but "Comfort" is a liquid concept where OF fans are concerned.

All I have said is that we should both win as you have said, but "comfortably" could be 10 points in one man's eyes and 30 in another's.

I would say that its should be tougher for Celtic, but they should still win the SPL by about 20 points. Rangers will be expected to win SFL3 by a greater margin than that for it to be considered comfortable.

The argument that the SPL will be more competitive without Rangers was not made because Celtic will face a tougher challenge, simply because the other 11 teams will have a better chance of a decent league position at the end of the season without Rangers in the league.

A better finishing position will provide a greater financial reward which may allow them to invest in their playing squads, and perhaps in seasons to come the league will be more competitive overall.

Even If only 4 or 5 teams in the SPL built better sides over the next couple of years, that would be an improvement in quality and hopefully competition, which will stop Celtic running away with the SPL for the forseeable future.

the worst thing East Stirling did was score first.

got the plucky newco diddy clubs back up.

it will be a different story though when they play the big teams like Peterhead etc....................
