Just a quick round of applause for Lambert for seeing where the team needed to be changed, and making the change straight away - as the commentator on my feed said, you don't often see a triple substitution. I thought we played better in the second half (before PL interviened) but as I said on the match board at half time, once the idiot got sent off, I could only see one team getting the 3 points. As for the sending off, my feed was pretty poor, and I can't be arses to YouTube it. But if a player with Barton's reputation goes Forehead to forehead with another player, he might as well ask the ref to send him off. And after seeing that he suggests clubs/players suing referees.... Well, I kind of wish someone could break his tweeting hand. And his phone. Good luck for the rest of the season boys. Hopefully we'll see you again next year
Nice to see you here You can U Tube it but the clips there are every bit as poor as most streams were so you are unlikely to see anything different to be honest. I hope the appeal will bring to light how the decision was made and why (was it the 4th official that intervened and influenced the referees decision?, was it for intent?), once that is cleared up it will hopefully stop the bitching between supporters. The game with JB was pretty even and I thought we made very hard work of the numerical advantage until, as you say, we made the big change. I also think taking AT off made a bearing on how the game finished too. While he was not at his stunning best, he and SWP were a threat. The really sad part of all of this is though is the reaction by the player himself and the management (including a Director), they never seem to be capable of just going about their business quietly and I am sorry to say it does not reflect well on QPR as a club. NW will never change, he speaks his mind even when he is wrong and to be honest I find him entertaining most of the time. On the occasions when he is not actually moaning about things he comes over as a decent guy and makes for a good interview. I wish you and QPR well, really I do.
good post and nice to see a qpr fan who realises the main reasons why the game changed rather than accuse us of cheating i said on another thread that i feel you will stay up but that it will be in spite of your manager rather than because of him. good luck
On a side note to the whole incident, this has lead to another good example of the FA favouring the bigger teams in the league. Its been reported that Barton and Warnock may be charged by the FA for the cheating and conning accusations, however nothing has been mentioned of Wenger getting a similar punishment after he accussed the Fulham players of conning the ref into get Djourou sent off or for calling the ref naive.
agree dazz. and what is the betting warnock gets off his charge? and he really should be charged for his van persie comments too. honestly, warnock seems to get away with everything
Thanks mate, great post and easily the best one I have read from a Koo Pee Arr fan about this whole, sorry incident
