That's why it's a nonsense. McGregor was totally out matched in the fight itself both off and on the ground. Nobody watching that would think a rematch would go any different. Dana White has ****ed up the hype by allowing Connor to get away with all sorts of ****e over the years as good promo but now that someone's reacted to it in a way that made vegas/Nevada board look bad all in front of the governor no less he has to look hypocritical in his response to this. Either it's more hype that makes a sport he's tried over 2 decades to be taken seriously look silly. Or it's real and he looks like he's lost control and put spectators in danger. I winced at some very stupid pissed up Irish lads trying to take it to some seriously scary looking Russian fans post fight and ending up in a pool of their own blood. It reminded me of the Eddie Murphy joke about when Italians come out of the cinema after seeing rocky lol
whyte set up the bus incident but hadn't the brains to get a reinforced window so McGregor fake attack went really bad. it was supposed to set up the big come back. he ruined the entire event and ended up in jail. now they've had this match and it's obviously gone the wrong way for whyte for me the interaction between ufc and wwe is long established and those who can't cut it end up in wwe. I'd watch a boxing match. I'd watch a judo match in Olympics but no way I'm watch that low level half arsed blood sport
I can understand the appeal since boxing has been sanitized so drastically over the last couple of decades... if you are going to watch a sport where the aim is to knock your opponent unconscious what a the point in giant gloves and hands only lol The wrestling part ruins the "spectacle" as technical as it all is, watching two guys mate on floor for 5 minutes at a time doesn't appeal to me. Bring back actual gladiators! Only with swords on Fire! And spikes on the cage walls!
Not a chance that was a setup. Khabib and his crew are a ****ing disgrace, there is no way anyone would agree to do something that carries so many repucutions!
There is lots of hype but the same can be said for boxing nowadays. The aftermath of the Conor v Khabib fight wasn't for show, not a chance.
Had some new members at karate lat night; brother and sister. They've achieved black belts in other martial arts and I've got to say, they were very good. The students were separated up; inexperience/ youngsters and experienced / adults. Meant I was doing spinning kicks etc. I've no previous at all so all is new to me. Nailed everything first time, I was really impressed with myself but not as much as others were. Bloody loved it too. Can't wait for next week. Aching like a bitch today though
It's more about forms and being able to.move through the levels as I recall. youngsters struggle.with the concentration and coordination.
Technique then power. I've already got the power in my legs from 34yrs of playing footy. People holding the pads have said as much too. Footwork is going to be my downfall
yeah there's loads of forms and levels of forms. I was watching one kid who was doing the half black belt (What ever is between black and brown) and she was a right plump kid but she was just doing forms. she wouldn't do the fights then in tournaments whereas ours would. I know for a fact I'd not get past yellow.
I've already said I'm not interested in the belts. Started doing it to support my mate (who runs it) and my two eldest (Only eldest now) but I'm starting to get the bug. Really enjoying it.
5-5 away draw... in Scarborough (a hefty 2hr travel) Not a bad point really, considering we conceded after 30 seconds. They had one extremely good player, scored 4 out of the 5, who kept them in the game.
Another draw this week, 0-0 against the top of the league. Good result and really think we were by far the better team with a bit more luck we'd have won.
