Some great racing in the TdF. Scary at times too. When that guy disappeared over the wall was a heart stopping moment because there was no clue how far down he went. The guy who won it was great all day, there or there abouts on all stages.
Friday and Saturday are gonna be big days ... high mountains on Friday including Tourmalet, then the individual TT on Saturday. One or both of those stages is where the tour will be won. I'd like to see Thomas in yellow till Sunday but I imagine Froome will have the beating of him either up the climbs or solo, he's the most powerful and quick guy out there overall. Tomorrow is an interesting stage though as it's basically an uphill stage and it's very short so it'll be full gas from the off. Could be another day for Alaphilippe if his legs are feeling good after today's effort but it'll be close between all the climbers. Can't see much happening with the GC guys as it's not long enough to really try and put much time into anyone, they'll just finish in the bunch I'd imagine.
think today will be a blinding day as may well see full out attack from the off and surely both Movistar & Lotto will use the fact they have more than 1 contender to launch 1-2 attacks since they have to start making inroads on the front 3.
it will if 1 of Thomas , Froome or Dumoulin crack today or Friday. The damage Friday does may well effect the outcome on the TT as well.
don't see one cracking as team sky will.mind both. the tt will then in effect be all about team sky and great for exposure
you cannot do too much to "mind" riders on a day like today they either keep up or they don't. Why will the TT be all about Sky when Dumoulin is expected to be the best of the main contenders ?
Really looking forward to todays stage. Finishing on the Col du Portet, which is apparently the highest point Le Tour has ever reached in the Pyrenees Watched a couple of amateurs doing the whole stage recently and the last few km's is rough as ****
today is short and intense yeah? so sky will be out to control same as rest. The point about sky and tt is that it's Thomas v froome with it being the multiple champion's best chance to catch his team mate. yes dumoulin is as close as froome more or less but surely it's first the 4 time champion and can he take yellow?
to make a big move theres not a lot of distance but not a lot of time if a break does happen to catch it. could be interesting
Froome is being dropped bad here Dumoulin and Thomas have ridden away Sky will back Thomas now but there's the tt of course which is one on one
Froome getting boos and whistles again at the top here to add insult to injury, he's done for this year
Cracking day especially for G. Sooner or later Froome was bound to pay for trying to do all 3. Slightly surprised that Sky sent Bernal back to help Froome instead of leaving him to support Thomas. Shout out for Kangert & Alaphilippe
