Back to winning way today (yesterday...whatever) 9-1 win. And thats with 6 players off on their jollies (fecking half-term) including the GK . Lucky we have the numbers to cover it this year (as a club) and had a 1stXI player who couldn't travel.
Top 2pts clear Closest rivals (or the ones we think might get closest at the end) also lost yesterday to the team who beat us last week. So not a bad set of results. Also joint top scorers in the YH leagues now, and still the best GD.
Seems to be a running theme with German drivers crashing into rivals to prevent them winning titles. Vettel is a right unscrupulous sod, just like Schumacher before him.
Shot from Vettel's car clearly shows him steering into Hamilton. Definitely deliberate and he was at fault against Verstappen too.
Absolutely super bit of racing between Hamilton and Alonso. Bit of car broken off... men racing. I am ****ing sick of hearing whining and seeing stewards play to the whining. It is absolutely clear to me vettel broke his wing on verstsppen car and came of kerb and had poor control with front down force ****ed. Sorry but that's just racing.
He was at fault against Verstappen, nothing deliberate but at fault dangerous driving. You can clearly see him turning in to Hamilton on the incar video. Ham ahead of him and away from his racing line, he had no business steering left into Hamilton if not deliberately trying to hit him. No excuse for that. Dangerous driving for sure. No room for that in F1. Not first time he's done something reckless like that. Vettel could easily get someone killed.
Bull ****..... would you please stop being fanboys. It was just racing. Man up. If anything I've heard the same or worse about verstappen hitting lads. We need some manning up and end the radio whines. All radio traffic should be excluded from stewards and only cameras and telemetry used. Hamilton whined Vettel whined Alonso whined All of them would put someone in a wall for their own advantage. It is imo the equivilant of diving in football.
To be honest, I would bet the only reason stewards didn't act was because it would end the WDC. None of them had the balls to discipline Vettel, especially with him driving for the untouchable Ferrari. Any other driver would have been disciplined for that yesterday. Nothing to do with who was whining.
No they wouldn't! 1.its first corners. No way you apply rules for one car v one car in that. 2. Did he dive into verstappen or did verstsppen get very lucky that he drove over vettel nose cutting him off. 3. Did vettel or did he no have a loss of down force and be across the kerb. Sorry but that's just a racing incident. He didn't steer into Hamilton either he was correcting a car going sideways. This anti Ferrari stuff is all well and good as some guys out of power aka Bernie eccleston want to stoke up and get their voices heard again but in the end it's bollox as plenty of penalties have been given. I have described what's gone on with vettel as karma. His cars given up and he's ****ed up too. Yesterday he drove from the back to 4th. Not a thing wrong with any of it.
Watch his hands... He does a turn towards Hamilton even though Hamilton is clearly ahead. He knew what he was doing. He saw the wing damage from when he didn't give Verstappen room and clipped him. He moved over to collide with Hamilton. He knew he had to damage or take out Hamilton or he would lose WDC.
You've never seen someone controlling a car that's coming of kerb and getting it straightened out. In case you missed it he corrected both directions. Oh and in case you missed it losing a nose cone = wdc over period.... Its not like he just needed Hamilton out. He needed you win. That is not driving into someone. Period.
Have you forgot Azerbaijan? I seem to recall there was another time he'd done something similar as well which makes this strike 3. It is clear Vettel sees this as a legitimate tactic. He's done it before and he will do it again. Just like Schumacher who had done it at least three time (twice in the same situation trying to secure a WDC). Vettel is a reckless turd who would rather take out an opponent than lose. His car was already damaged and he had nothing to lose. This is classic Vettel. Do you believe a 4 time WDC couldn't see that Hamilton was in the spot he was turning towards or didn't know he would clip him there? Vettel knew exactly what he was doing he's too talented not to. IMO Vettel shouldn't be allowed to compete he will get someone killed eventually. Accidents due to racing is one thing. Deliberately crashing into people shouldn't be tolerated.
