Tim Vickery, the BBC's South American football writer, has published his latest blog with Uruguay as the main topic. He talks a little bit about Ramirez as do quite a few of the posters in the comments section: http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/timvickery/2012/09/uruguay_have_cause_for_world_c.html
He looks like he fled to Brazil after a botched train robbery... talks a lot of sense though that's for sure.
It's only a very brief mention of him in the article, but Vickery's normal opinion of Ramirez is that he's got incredible talent but may struggle with the stronger and faster style of the Premier League/
Yeah Vickery is a brilliant journalist. He assumes his audience are as intelligent as him and writes accordingly. Unlike Phil McNulty, who seems to think that his audience consists of the people who get on 606.
Thanks Jack and it is an interesting read (as usual) even if Gaston only gets a brief mention. Just hope that in all the excitement we don't get too impatient and expect immediate fireworks, this boy is only 21 remember and we might find him on the bench for a little while. We have two weeks off now with Lallana, Lambert and Puncheon not going on international duty (all three should be ) and if any of you would drop them for Arsenal then you're a braver man than me.
