As well as Ramirez being a worthy acquisition I wonder if Brucey also thought that having another Uruguayan and Spanish speaker on the books might help Hernandez settle a bit more easily? Even the best players won't perform if they're unhappy off the pitch.
and I guess ben arfa will help sagbo although cant see sagbo playing much but anyway our signings aren't as good as lesters
I'm guessing Hernandez and Ramirez have the same agent and I'm guessing that's how the deal came about. They'll definitely help each.
Actually I can see Sagbo playing off the bench quite a bit. Imagine games where we are up with 20 minutes to go or so... that's when Sagbo is extremely useful for his hold-up play and work rate. I think he's still a key player from that point of view.
Another reason why these two came together and may help quickly for them to gell is that they both started at Penarol and if you look at their kit it's not too dissimilar to ours.
Really do think that Sagbo will benefit having players of this quality around him, I think will see why SB took a punt on him this season.
Gaston is quality, gutted he left us. Hope you get the best out of him as he could be a hell of a player.
Well I didn't quite mean it like that just that on top of being a cracking signing it might be nice for him to have someone else in the squad who knows Frey Bentos is more than just a tinned pie
I really really like Gaston. I use to watch Southampton because Lovren played there. I watched this live last year, by the look of this I though his ankle was broken, but apparently it wasn't. The boy has some skill. please log in to view this image
I actually think that SB brought in Ramirez not only as he is a great player but a friendly face for Hernandez. I always felt that if we had had another German in the side when Prossy was with us, we may have seen a better result from him.
. You are probably right. But it is not just whether someone can speak English or not, that is why the Irish lads generally stick together. There is a country closeness that is more important than just being able to speak the language in the country you are living and working in, particularly when you are not actually at the club training or playing.
take a look at the club colours of our new lads first club in Uruguay...I think wearing the City shirt will make them happy and think of there first club http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PeƱarol
