Nathan Ake looks VERY promising! I'd like to see some more of him in the games ahead <ok>

Mentioned this just after the game, makes you wonder about Chalobah, Josh, Piazon etc. Ake did look very composed and made excellent decisions all game. Still think Luiz and Lamps the most impressive midfield we have used so far, and Ramires is just too wild in his passing and tackling to be the answer. He was very good against really poor opposition, but we'd have been murdered with a Yaya Toure intercepting even half of his poor passes.
IF we can get that out of his game, well and good, but for mine he is a bomb forward attacker, not a controlling mid.

Agree on Ramires, would love for him to be a part of the central midfield, but his passing lets him down. If we played 4-3-3 then fair enough he could get away with it, but as one of the two in the pivot passing needs to be near immaculate. Would love to see Luiz and Ake together in midfield for a game with Hazard - Mata - Ramires in front of them (Steaua perhaps)

We dont need wholesale changes in the summer, we have six hungry talented individuals out on loan who would make our squad healthy and competitive (Courtois, Ake, Chalobah, De Bruyne, Piazon & Lukaku)

But yeah Ake was top notch and Chalobah is making himself be known by helping Gianfranco get Watford up!!!!!

Yep, we really are just 2 players away from being really competitive + all the kids you mentioned.

Not sure about Rami, and never have been tbh. For the usual reasons. Akelele definitely one for the future but he was given so much time at boro, and I would like to see how he fares in a more competitive match.

Ake is the tip of the iceberg as far as young talent at our club goes. I have watched a lot of our youth teams over the last 5 years and believe me, there is a lot of talent in those teams. All we need to do is back them and give them a chance. They would save us £Millions in transfer fees.
