Transfer Rumours Ramires.

Breaking news is that he's about to sign for Jiangsu Suning in China. Not sure on the fee yet but Chinese sides tend to pay decent fees for players. Although he isn't a world beater he can certainly do better than the Chinese super league. The standard is shocking.

Guess that why he wasn't in the squad at the weekend. Anyone reckon we'll get a replacement or keep going with what we've got?

 

£25m apparently. Great deal for Chelsea. Very odd decision by a 28 year old Brazilian international. He must be really keen on the "project".

 

sounds good for us,never been his greatest fan..... but that goal in barcelona was special.

I like Ramires and he's been a good servant but 25m is very decent money for who is now a fringe player. Could allow us to bring in new talent as well.

I have to say Texiera looks a lot more exciting deal than Pato.

25M is an unbelievably good price for us. There are certainly better midfielders out there than Ramires who we can get hold of for less than that.. We might even get one suited to our style as i don't think there is ever a place for Ramires in a 4231 formation.

 

Good bit of business, as long as we get in a decent replacement.

Looks like he is being priced out of a move to either of us at the moment. He'll be cheaper in the summer with only a year left on his deal and not a mid season purchase. Probably around 25 million. The 35 plus they want at the moment looks high.

 

Pato is a done deal so looks like we won't be making a move for anyone else. Really hope he does the business. Remember watching him at AC when he was younger and he was mustard then.

Pato is a forward tho. Not a midfielder. So not really a rambo replacement

 

Yeah to be fair we have missed a Ballack/Essien type player for a while. We really need a general to make our midfield a powerhouse again.

 

Reckon Remy will be off then,seems to be plenty of takers for him.

Aye I wish him good luck, he wasnt one of my favourite players, purely because he had very little skill most of the time, which is odd for a Brazilian.
He couldn't pass, wasn't great at beating players, but he was a work horse, he could run and he performed a role.

But yeah, the chip against Barca which put us into the CL final alone means I will always think fondly of him.

 

Such an amazing finish. Sort of finish you can pull off when really pissed off. He wasn't nervous as he went in 1 on 1, just angry and clinical!

To chip a ball with such control that is moving away from you takes some doing.
