Had a sleepless night last night (not QPR related) and spent a few hours listening to Talksport. Wow, most conversations/calls were about us and the shambles we've become (again). I recall the days when we had to hunt down snippets of info about our club - not last night though... Lots of dialogue about player behaviour - unacceptable; lots of chat about Tone and his gullibility - ill advised by MH and HR; lots of vultures getting ready to pick over the carcass. Some interesting things that came to my attention - Fer came to us for 67k/week taking a pay rise from 25k - why wouldn't he? Adel refusing to play and taking the cash - he's not the only one apparently. (NB. This is not intended to start another Adel thread) Charlie has done a great job, saving us from being relegated months ago - he'll be scooped up first The number of our players who've been through relegation before is staggering - not just with us!! FFP is not nailed on yet, but we have lost positioning through our immediate relegation The parachute payments although lucrative initially, are far less than some believe, and did nothing to help us last time. Apologies for anything incorrect, it was early and there was a lot to filter. I particularly enjoyed the Stan Colleymore rant, he was spot on in my view - player power is killing some clubs. Harry's comments drove me up the wall - it's difficult innit?. Will look forward to a very gloomy podcast later; it's becoming a little cathartic here, but good to get it all out as quickly as possible and prepare for wherever we end up, with whoever we have left.. Like many on here, still grateful for the day out at Wembley last year. On another note, I met many not606ers in the pub in Kingsbury before the game - there seems to be few left here now (regular posters that is) - Roller, Judo. Sussex, Robina, Staines. I wish I could remember all I met that day. I know Beth couldn't make it - she walked. Queens met me at the ground. Singapore R and son were at the pub too. One extraordinarily bright day in 4 (or maybe 19) years MORNING ALL
Hi Ian, I posted on another thread that Rob Green has now been relegated four times! Twice with us, once with West Ham and once with Norwich. I know Caulker has now been relegated a few times as well. One can only hope we bottom out soon, dust ourselves off and build a solid foundation. Cheers, Aussie
Amen Aussie. And I'm still thinking about a trip in October to see some rugby (Wallabies v Wales 10/10) and maybe a Rangers game or two, if we still exist . Up and on
