Good read. Ings already walking around club canteen, possible change in transfer strategy, RH & Wife enjoy life in the south, & more. https://www.reddit.com/r/SaintsFC/c...621aa2d278&utm_source=embedly&utm_term=jsvlmh
Like the Tifo guys were saying, we actually suit him very well. Strong youth development and we were prepared to give him time. That last one is key because he would never get the time he’s been given here at say a Man Utd. He also wouldn’t be given the freedom to build the squad entirely to what he needs.
A great read, thanks for posting! And the final paragraph deserves to be copied out: “My wife and I feel very comfortable here, we love the South of England, the people like us. And I can concentrate fully on soccer here, work is great fun. Here at the club I can move everything I want to move. I can act as I see fit. With Martin Semmens, my Chairman, I have someone at my side who supports me. We went through the time after Leicester together, a trust has grown that I have never known before in this business. I really cannot imagine a better job at the moment.” Don’t you just love that man?
What a man. What a manager. What a coach. The ability to get an entire squad playing to every inch of their potential is testament to that.
Martin Semmens deserves credit too - he has kept the club steady and without that Hassenhuttl may not still be here.
Oh and for Ralph a top, top tactician, Coach and man manager. Thank God that the stars aligned and our paths crossed when he was out of work.
Love this last paragraph but the following does worry me: "we are trying to extend danny ings contract, we aren't top 6 but hopefully we have enough to convince him"
That might be why he mentioned the Timo Werner thing, about him extending his contract with RB Leipzig to ensure that they got well paid when he left. He could be appealing to Danny to do likewise so that if he does move on, we benefit more. Maybe Danny is waiting to see where we finish this season, before committing to a new contract, with European football being key.
