I smell something fishy, must be a Skate... That is manna from heaven for Magic though, wait for his little wind up!...
Just need @Che’s Godlike Thighs to come and say Allardyce has achieved far more than Ralph and therefore is a much better manager to complete the Not606 cliche
I nearly typed that myself but the mere thought makes me shudder. It'd probably get me to St Marys though
Bloody hell, you want me to remember that far back? For the record I was putting Benitez's name out there, and yes I think he would do a better job than Ralph. But I didn't say anything about his achievements per se. I mean, mourinho's achieved a hell of a lot in football, but I wouldn't want him near St. Mary's.
as you and others have suggested Ralph needs a right hand man that he communicates with. except for a short purple patch after Danny Rohl left we have gone backwards even with a stronger squad. There never seems to be any rapport between Ralph and Richard Kitzbichler on the touchline during a match. i also agree with others that we need a more forceful captain.
I think Pompey fans have more interesting activites to pursue like gaining their Masters Degree than in anything going on at St Mary's.
Genuine question - have there been many examples in recent years of a top level team signing a player and hanging them the armband straight away ? I don’t think there is In which case we are looking at a more forceful captain in our current squad. And I guess that is part of the problem we have and why our mentality is so weak. There seem to be no real options outside of Romeu and Stephens. Not too dissimilar to the discussion relatively recently about England captains and the response of having multiple “captains” on the pitch
