Happens a lot to me, not just Hermes, but DHL, DPD, and Parcel Force too. Normal Royal Mail parcel deliveries seem to be the only ones that work, as my regular post lady has a special place she leaves things. The thing that puzzles me most though, is that there is no standardised system for leaving cards or getting proof of delivery. It’s so random.
I would expect, as a minimum, for the email I received to include a photo of the building I live in, with a time and date stamp. Plus, because I live in a block for the more mature age groups (old ****ers) there are onsite staff who can be called via the entry system, so never any excuse for not getting into the building, other than couldn’t be arsed.
Just went to the local shop and asked the girl behind the counter for a Twirl and a Boost....she spun around and told me I looked fantastic tonight
Uber eats mugged me off recently. Failed to deliver my food from the takeaway which is literally 0.5 miles away, said they tried delivering it but I didnt answer my door (total bollocks) and when I asked for a refund they said they could only give me 50% through something which was of no fault of my own but completely theres. ****s!!
A rich Business man thinks his wife is having an affair and hires a Hitman. The Business man said I would like you to follow my wife for a few days if she is not having an affair you will still get paid if she is having an affair I would like you to shoot her in the head and shoot his dick off. The Hitman replied It will be a hundred grand per shot. No problem said the business man. A little while later the Hitman phones the Business man and said I have got good news and bad news. The Business man said Give me the bad news first. The Hitman said Your wife is having an affair. The Business man said What's the good news? The Hitman replied I can do both things with the same shot and save you a hundred grand.
I`ve entered the Soton half marathon on 05 Sept - AS Junior is doing the full marathon, and Miss AS is doing the 10k. Anyone else participating ??. The course runs through SMS !
I presume there was a reason that you couldn't go half a mile to collect a takeaway. I'd regard that as a pleasant stroll. Apologies if you can't do so, but I am making the valid point that we should all make the effort to go back to normal shopping after the lockdown is lifted....won't have failed deliveries to moan about and you'll keep the High Streets alive. Lockdown has produced some bad habits.
I ran the half in 2019 as part of my training for an ultra. I may sign up to do it again this year. I have a place for the London Marathon in October, so depends whether it will fit into my training plan for that or not!
Is it the same course this year as when you ran it ? Good luck with London - I`ve run it 8 times, but my marathon days are now over !
