So cynical me, checking out the news. Yesterday was the worst drop for the stock markets since 2008, panic buying & spread rate was rife. Today someone seems to have told the reporting of it to calm down. The stock markets are returning, the banks are offering help with mortgages, the stats out of China seem better. Just shows the power of the media. Its as bad as we are being told, or we should believe that anyway, or something else. I'm going to stop now, don't want a self imposed headache and a chat with 111 an hour before I go to work!
I suspect as well, if you have a heavy cold, it’ll make it harder to shake Covid-19 if you get that on top of it.
Good point... I suppose that would result in more serious cases. I get paid if I have to be off work and I've already bought the paint ready to do some decorating during any possible enforced isolation so I'm actually looking forward to more measures being used to try and slow the spread. I hope it doesn't go as far as Italy have gone with their plans. You still going to be able to get married as planned, or is that a bit up on the air depending on developments?
Things stepping up for me at work now. Been banned from visiting the hospital so hopefully will be working from home within a couple of weeks.
We’re already ahead of Italy, in one area. We’ve been treating patients in hospital corridors for months, irrespective of illness type.
Everything pretty up in the air. We’ll get married, but whether or not we can have guests, who knows right now...
Someone in my office on a different floor is a confirmed case as of last week. They and anyone they came in ‘close contact’ with is at home. The company deep cleaned the specific floor but business as usual otherwise.
Jeez Laces I've bought my suit and everything. Best wishes for your day, I'm sure it will work out fine.
Without sounding corny, at the end of the day the two of you are all that matter. Mrs No7 and I have been together 23 years and if we ever get married (been engaged for 13 years...best not rush it) if it was just her and I there that is all that matters.
A colleague in my department has gone home this morning, with a dry cough. He isn’t one of the usual malingerers so he is probably unwell. Meanwhile my company are still to make any announcements regarding the Coronavirus. All they have done is ask the cleaners to sanitise door handles and install machines with hand sanitiser. Fat lot of good this will do when mechanical handling equipment is not being sanitised and some people won’t even wash their hands after taking a dump.
I've no patience with panic buying of toilet rolls. We just buy what we need. please log in to view this image
My bro can’t come to my stag do now. He’s been advised, as he runs a health clinic, that all staff should avoid public gatherings. If he gets a cold or something, the clinic has to close for two weeks which would screw them.
