I've slipped up with Neddy once or twice leading to the question "are you related to the antipodean Ned RIP"

To answer your question, I've not been consulted on anything. It's all come as total news to me.

When I was reading the forum last night, I didn't even notice my moderator tag had gone (probably because I didn't post anything last night, so no posts of mine to obviously notice). I've only discovered it this afternoon. I've sent Beddy a PM.

Typical. I have my first busy day at work for a lifetime and miss the fallout, the stand off and the group hug. Bloody work.

How do you tempt a bear out of the woods with cheese?

    Use “Camembert“

My goodness, people are so generous in this country when it comes to donating to charity. My wife has just been involved in a fund raising event for Solent Mind at Badger Farm in Winchester.
The total amount raised in only 40 mins was just under £400. There was £135 in notes alone with lots of £10 and one £20 note! I find that quite incredible.
Finally a quick plug. Appearing at the event was a group of great people called Southampton Ukulele Jam. If you haven't seen them, I can thoroughly recommend you do, really good fun. They play for no fee, just a donation to their chosen charity.

I should just add that as you can see below, the event was in the entrance to Sainsbury's in Badger Farm. The money came from shoppers donating into collection boxes as they passed by.
And as davecg69 has identified himself, I'm pleased to say he is our not606 representative in the SUJ. Good on you Dave.

I was down to play this gig, but my boy invited me to a track day at Goodwood, so I decided to miss it! I can thoroughly recommend SUJ too - been a member for 5+ years and we have a lot of fun plus raise money for great causes! Glad you enjoyed it, IOAG!

What do you call a blind deer?

    No idea.

.....(edited as suggested by Fats because he recognised that I was born an idiot and couldn't even be trusted to write a joke properly)

Sorry 'thereisonlyoneno7'. I started this balls up.

What do you call a blind deer, with no legs, no bollocks and wearing sun glasses?

Nothing, as you don't recognise them.
