The billionaire owner of ASOS has lost 3 of his 4 children in the Sri Lanka bombings which claimed nearly 300 lives. How do you ever get past such a loss? Money may help in lots of ways, but can't protect you from such pain. Feeling for all the families who have suffered loss....such a terrible waste and so pointless.

Just been on our annual Easter Monday pilgrimage to Mells Daffodil Festival. A bit late for most of the daffs this year but fabulous weather, thousands of people, great music and good beer.

The guy who directed Hardhome and Battle of the Bastards is directing episodes 3 and 5 of season 8, he is the big battles guy so it was always going to be those two episodes for the battles.
    • Episode 1: David Nutter
    • Episode 2: David Nutter
    • Episode 3: Miguel Sapochnik
    • Episode 4: David Nutter
    • Episode 5: Miguel Sapochnik
    • Episode 6: David Benioff and Dan Weiss
Agreed though they have done a lot of things that could have been done in one episode.

Damn good episode for me that one. Loved the slow build up of tension throughout the episode, with powerful moments between characters which felt all the more meaningful with the dawning threat. Presumably a lot of characters are going to die in the next episode, it could pretty much be anyone at this stage.

Also, could they mention that the crypts were the safest place anymore!? Guessing that means either, it’s really really not safe, aka long dead Starks come back to life under the magic of the night king. Or there’s something of the old dead Stark’s and the old Gods that will save the people in the crypts. Whatever it is, they made too much of a big deal about it being safe for there not to be some big moment down there.

That’s also the two shortest episodes done now. The remaining four are all about an hour and half each. Presumably they don’t defeat the White Walkers in one battle at Winterfell and the other big battle is just whoever is left vs Cersei. Be too easy to defeat this giant apocalyptic threat that’s been building for 8 seasons in one showdown!? Assuming they lose and whoever is left retreats before they beat them. Don’t know how Cersei and Kings Landing fits into this, but can’t wait to watch it and find out!!

Many years ago, (just checked 2006/07) he was appearing in White Christmas, at the Mayflower.
My brother, at the time, was landlord of the Junction Inn, St Denys, when Ken Kercheval was brought into the pub, for a drink.
My brother said he was a really nice person, so nice that he and his partner invited him to have Christmas dinner with them. He accepted. No airs and graces, just a nice down to earth man, who wanted a little home comfort at Christmas.
    RIP Ken.

Yes I read that too Fran. That is so bloody sad it breaks my heart. I'd lay bets it wasn't just a coincidence but as a result of the stress and grief.
