If I can give you one piece of advice from my life it would be, never ever date a tennis player! I don’t know why but it’s like love means nothing to them!
My older brother was named after our father to carry on his name. It can be really confusing having a brother called Dad though!
You haven't missed much. Imps still dominating the politics page, and Saints still keeping us in a fevered state of worry at the edge of our seat. Cheer us up, hows you love life going........
Tbf, even back when I was more active here, I avoided the politics thread. I'd just end up ranting about politicians and how terrible they are (I was ranting about Boris Johnson just yesterday on another forum I'm a member of). My love life is okay thanks. Somehow managed to convince my gf to become a passionate Minnesota Vikings fan. Couldn't convince her to support Portsmouth, but while I'm more likely to see the latter in person, the NFL is my main passion nowadays over football. Been playing a lot of Fifa 17 recently. Got it for £1 pre-owned at Game. I like to calculate cost per hour of games I buy, especially ones I've played a lot... Already, I'm probably down to a cost of 5p an hour probably... most likely less! Anyone else play it?
She didn't like the chanting, among other things. Tbf, I partly agree with her, most football chants are pretty chronic... or at best lacking originality. There's only a few really good ones IMO. "Woke up this morning feelin' fine, I've got promotion on my mind..." being one. And of course, the classic and original, Play up Pompey, even if the original lyrics according to Wikipedia were better.
down to a cost of 5p an hour probably. ___________________________ Impressive, and just the kick in the nuts the game industry deserves. Greed seems to have totally consumed the market place, and things have been going down hill for the last few years. I can barely believe they have the cheek to talk about the next gen when the library is so poor in the current one.
Yes. I was lucky enough to get a PS4 for Christmas and rumours of a PS5 coming in the next couple of years is quite dispiriting. Though I'm not fussed about having the latest tech, but even still, do we really need a new console every few years? Then you need to get it if you want to get the next game in a series (say GTA VI), and then you have no choice... Though in terms of FIfa, I rarely get new ones nowadays. I only got 17 because it £1 pre-owned at game. I so love the training system and being able to develop your team and players as you wish.
My kids often get me to hook up my old (2001) PS2 and play monopoly party. Love that console, built like a brick, but all the devs wanted in, so it had everything. Now its just a cash grab, which will lead to digital copies, then eventually just PC's as the consoles all fold.
The PS2 was good. Remember Timesplitters? Such a good game, I hope they release a version for the PS4. But yeah, one thing I've noticed with the PS4 is that a lot of the games available for it are also on Steam or are re-releases of PS3 games, it's fine if you don't already have them (and most of them I don't), but there doesn't seem to be much in the way of PS exclusive titles... But the advantages of a console is at least you don't have to worry about compatibility issues and lag. And at least Elder Scrolls VI will probably be on the PS4.
My wife once went to prison for beating her ex-husband with his guitars! At trial the judge said “first offender?” “No!” she said “first a Gibson, then a Fender!”
Went to a friend's last night, she has just had a new baby. He didn't stop crying from the moment I got there. My friend asked if I could try winding him. I thought that was a bit harsh, so gave him a dead leg instead.
I went to a Karaoke Bar last night that didn't play any 70s music, at first I was afriad, oh I was petrified
