i half caught the sports news on radio devon, but it appears james brent may have earned for the owners or the club 200k, selling off the carpark and redeloping a stand. anyone else got the full sp on this breaking story. good luck at the cobblers, 3 more points would be handy

The story is on the BBC football website atcham jack. Not £200k but £700k according to the story but it is not necessarily the good news it suggests. Argyle have sold off land and there is a promise of a new stand which is tantamount to finishing the ground development. The jury is out as far as I'm concerned as to good news/not so good news as there is precious little meat on any of the bones just yet. This might be very good for James Brent or it could be very good for Argyle of it could be very good for both or it might not be good for Argyle but still very good for James Brent. It seems to depend on which side of the love/hate relationship you are with Brent as to what you are meant to think on the other chat sites.

As I read it they have sold land for about 500k and in addition have put 275K into the club from share purchases. Have commited to building new stand free of charge or Argyle get % of income from any development on the land. Personally seems as good as we could get apparently land was bought at market price, free development of said land plus share of profits or free stand, % of profits would be my preference and let the coffin dodgers in the Moanflower get wet <whistle>

You will always get a few people trying to work out what fiddle is going on........I think you just have to trust James Brent.......the only time I came into close proximity to him at the PASALB pre-Christmas do he came over as a sincere person.......also Chris Webb OK.........Ian Newall now thats another kettle of fish.....just not sure of that man.
