The mid-season break is over and it’s time to celebrate the return of football when we welcome the Brewers to Adams Park, last weekend went very well for us with only two teams in the top half of the table winning, the Brewers could have moved into the top half with a win but they lost at home to the Imps and sit 15th on 24pts. Gaz should have a fully fit squad to choose from so his main concern will come with if he wins the Manager of the Month award. I'm looking forward to going to this one after our break and will be hoping we are at the races from the off and continue our good form with the lads giving it 100% and getting a result before we start the difficult Christmas period
It's on a site called HITC, & there report according to the site comes from the Northern Echo, Luke's contract runs out this summer, stranger things have happened
Cheers Phil. Here it is https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2019/12/...-could-lose-luke-onien-with-wycombe-eyeing-j/
F/T 2-0. Ipswich lost at home to The Gas,Oxford lost to franchise and Coventry lost at Shrewsbury but Posh beat Bolton 1-0
579 minutes without conceding is a fantastic effort i doubt we'd have done that with El-Abd in our defence
Not the best of games yesterday but the sign of a good team is to win when you don't play well we looked ring rusty in apart from the defence with Sido in for Grimmer seamlessly Ofoborh's distribution was poor and the front three were feed on scraps but Wheeler and Blooms put a couple of those scraps away
Oh yes I nearly forgot to say the one and only Colin Daniel played for Burton yesterday and got a round of applause when he was subbed
Sir Colin who scored for Mansfield at Bristol Rovers while we won at Torquay to keep us up and send Rovers into the conference He will be one of my heroes until my dying day
I missed all the action over the weekend with the birth of a Grandson, a fabulous weekend all round well done the Wanderers & a friend of mine who is a Pompey supporter has two tickets for next Saturdays game against Ipswich, & has asked me if I would like to join him. After Saturdays results Pompey need all the support they can get to beat Ipswich.
Be honest your players and manager have finally completely bored the crap out of the opposition who now can't be bothered to play at all never mind score.
