It's being widely reported that Barcelona are looking to shift a couple of fringe players this summer to fund moves for, amongst others, Fabregas. I say we help them out and sign a couple, it's zero risk since even if the player turns out to be rubbish, we can fall back on the fact that we helped rush along the Fabregas move Thiago and his brother are both said to be available and Jefferen who looks good from what I've seen. Whilst I'm on the subject of Barca, what on Earth happened to that player we were signing on a free?
Which one? Gai Assulin went to City last season, unsurprisingly, but I think there was another one, too. Who would you want to sign, though? Krkic might finally be sick of sitting on their bench, but would he be suited to playing in England, let alone in a lone striker role? Signed a contract extension in December, too.
Can't remember his name but his agent said we signed him a about a month back after he had a trial with the Chelsea first team
Couldn't find a more reputable source than this but I'm sure it was everywhere at the time. http://www.givemefootball.com/premier-league/spurs-snare-former-chelsea-youngster-in-first-sign
"First teamer within a year" That comment was from 'Arry. Which loosely translates as "I won't play the blinking kid but I dare say my successor will"
I think raiding Barca is an excellent idea. We could start by taking that little bloke, what's his name again, Mucky? or something like that.
