Interesting interview with Jaidi on Player where he discusses his current role and future plans. He comes over as very eloquent and intelligent and says he is trying to learn from the coaches at the club. Very easy to just assume that the big guy at the back is...how shall I say it...less bright than the others. Also showed his goals from the 'sash period' in League 1...sorry Jaidi, how soon I forgot. He now has to study the stats and spends more time on the computer in the office, which he describes...after a pause...as boring. He has been out to Africa to spread the word about the Southampton Way and mentions that we are intending to set up an academy in Tunisia. Could be a manager in the making...what an opportunity for him to gain such varied experience at a good club.

Seems keen to learn and put the work in, wouldn't surprise me if he became a manager someday.

Glad he's on board, he's a decent fellow.

Good that he was spotted. I knew nothing about him and assumed that it was all to do with his contacts in Africa, but after listening to his interview I realise that there is a lot more to him than that. He wants to learn and that is always a good starting point to a career. He's at the right club for that.
