I was laughing at one of the threads about songs (some ****ing quality posts btw) when this Yank sitting next to me asks what's funny so I have to explain. He then says, "is that a soccer forum" and I say no it's a football forum. He then responds with "it's a gay sport and only you Europeans play it". I'm guessing by the current look on his face he doesn't like being told to **** Off! I hate having to behave myself when I'm away on business, ****ing dimwit.
I wasn't aware Africa, South America, Asia and as of recently the US are in Europe. Now baseball... The only sport in the world to have a world series when it's only played in one ****ing country,

Not sure two lads who couldn't make it into the MLB and got stuck in the minors and the physio room quite makes the sport anything more than national. That was a marketing ploy to help the Americans cash in on the subcontinents cricket revenue... See the IPL money.

When you have a billion people watching something on TV... Lotsa revenue! Some of the IPL cricketers (Shane Warne and Sachin Tendulkar) earned English Premier League money. $2-3m for 6 weeks work.

I honestly can't understand anyone who actually even takes time to watch American Football..It is utter gash and the actual playing parts only seem to come around every now and again. As for baseball, it is just a bastardised version of what we call rounders which is for girls..
the only sport I enjoy watching here in Canada is ice hockey. You have speed, skill and violence all thrown into one sport.
Know it well, Leechmere Rd was my stomping ground, Tunna Rocky Hill The Dilly and Hendon Beach playgrounds of the not so well to do.
I think the best thing you can say about American football is that it's like a game of chess as it certainly isn't action packed. It does beg the question though, who the hell wants to watch a game of chess? Ice hockey and basketball are alright in small doses, ice hockey has the violence and basketball is end to end. Baseball however is an awful, awful game.
