Just a quickie. We all seem a lot happier now that we know that Rafa will not be in charge for sure next season. In fact from what I can tell watching the match, we seem to be, by and large, indifferent to him. I actually view him as a bit of a dead man walking figure now. Just going about his business until his time is up. Now what I want to know from you all is this. Since he went on his rant we are that bit happier because he seems to have accepted defeat and knows we have "won," if you will. If from the very start he had apologised for his idiotic words during his Liverpool days and been a bit more humble instead of getting the fans backs up by trying to ignore them, would we have had a better time of it and results/performances been that bit more respectable? What do you all think?

I, for one am more optimistic now that this business is behind us! Who knows--we might be begging him to stay in May!

Shallow 'victory' if indeed it is.

I think many of our fans have been a frigging embarrassment to the club.

exactly, every body knows how the majority feel about rafa but a minority seem hell bent on forcing him out now and do not seem to worry or think about what affect and implications that it could be having on the team. The way things are shaping at the moment one point could be the difference between CL or not next season.

This is a difficult one to answer. If for instance all this protesting has had any impact on him leaving then it has worked and we have a lot to thank them for. For instance how would we feel if at the end of his interim Manager job he had been asked to carry on for another season <yikes>. Would anybody then have said we saw this coming and should have protested about it.
I don't think it will have had much effect on the players as they probably want him out as much as we do as a lot of our player's talents are being wasted with the game as we are playing it now, they seem to look very frustrated at times, and even Mata today was very off form. It was another boring game for me today and far from the games we were used to watching with passion in the past.

Rafa is an absolute goose, and what he says today he contradicts tomorrow. He 's got a mouth like a torn sock, just can't keep it zipped.
He has had every opportunity to let the football do his talking, but instead he has served up dross in large doses.
His tactics, selections, subs are all hopeless. When he somehow gets it right, he is so stupid, he changes it and we never see it again.
Luiz into midfield was an excellent decision and result. Lampard and Luiz in midfield were ,surprisingly, very very good. So we never see it again, and Luiz is back in defence, while JT watches from the sidelines.
Dumb and dumber. I would happily pay for the cab to take him away, and could't care less if we are managerless for the rest of the season.
With him there, 4th place is always going to be dodgy.

Hmmm......Booing has been counter-productive and it must be having an adverse effect on the team - probably not the wisest of choices for a stop-gap manager which was influenced by the dubious notice that Rafa's presence would somehow jump-start Nando. Anyway he has effectively signed his death warrant so it remains to be seen whether the Board want to sweat out the rest of the season or bring in Guus to steer us to safety - personally I think the rollercoaster ride will continue right to the end.
