You might be right, but Jose is on a different brief and needs at least this season to ring the changes he has in mind. That said, I might be the only one, but I am underwhelmed so far. I need patience, but am struggling to see any pattern or improvement. Maybe thats why Jose gets a few quid a year more than I do !!
People saying 'Jose Out' are ****ing muppets and hopefully after this season make the journey north to Manchester and stay there! He is the man for the job. He has got it in his head that it will take time and most genuine CFC supporters are on the same page as him... This season was always going to be about getting in the top 4 and then moving on allowing Jose to sort out a squad whereby he inherited with not much of a base. Rafa new he was going so there was no plan for the future... I think we're doing pretty well for a team in 'crisis' and transition. Better than the spuds!
Oh come on - You are quoting a Chelsea supporter of many a year, that's not fair to denegrate their opinions by merely stating your expletives. I have long since held the view that this period for both Chelsea and Maureen would not likely be the most profitable. Mou made some intrinsic mistakes from the start which to be frank were predicted (please check my consistency to this). I still dont get what Project was required - Courtois should have been forced back Azipicuelta is a right back and should play right back Ivanovic is a Central defender - Cahill/Luiz - OK back up Cole is a left back - Bertrand not up to it, could and should have bought a left back Mikkel - Special mention as he should have been bombed out with Malouda and Kalou - Not up to it in any shape or form Essien - Should have gone Lampard - He is no holding midfielder and should not be playing as many games Ramires - OK as a defensive mid The current front 3 - Should never be there (how could he have got rid of Lukaku!!!) So, nothing has changed from end of last Season - It was patently obvious you needed some Defensive Mids -Luiz could and should be easily one of those You needed a central defender as Terry was doubtful for Season - he has to take credit for Terry's rejuvenation You needed a left back and you could have done with some width and a decent forward. What did you get? - A whole host of players competing with the 3 amigos!!!! All this "we need time", "I have inherited a squad that needs big changes" is absolute bull. I repeat as I repeated then - You will contest for everything, hell every single one of your managers has under Abramovich because you have an excellent core of playing staff. Remember Avram Grant??? Your football is generally poor and you win many matches becasue of your 3 amigos (whomever is playing), the rest could have just been so much better if he had simply taken a look at what he had instead of just spouting his usual crap from the off. This will all end in tears.
europa league. the cup you won last season lol we are doing okay best away team in the prem just need to sort out our home form
Shows how dire the standard is this year if a team as routinely battered as your lot are still so close to top 4.
You're better than that. Any Chelsea fan is entitled to their opinion. It doesn't make them lesser fans. Poor.
Hope this is not aimed at me Bucks ? Nowhere do I say "Jose out" either in this thread or any other. What I do say, and will until I see evidence otherwise, is that we are NOT improving as a team, several players have been frozen out and have gone backwards, some players are again getting favouritism, players are out of position, and especially, I can see no particular pattern or style of play emerging. Not one of our youngsters is getting a go, and our best striker by miles is banging them in for Everton. With our squad, we should be where we are, no better nor worse. Today Jose is quoted as saying perhaps its time for ANOTHER change in style. Haven't seen the first one yet. Jose will bring success, he always does. I am hoping he also brings stability, and builds a team that only needs tweaking ,not complete rebuilding every year as we usually do. I don't want him out, never have. Just want the squad to be used better, i.e. at least try Luiz as DM, put some pressure on Cech, bring in a youngster or two. It's about Chelsea, not about Jose.
HIAG the gift that keeps on giving started a Mourinho sack watch thread on spuds board after Sunderland loss. OOOOOOPS/
Spot on CP - baffled by Jose's comments on switching to new system as I fail to see how this would cure our current dilemmas in attack and defence; more than likely that approach will reduce us to draw specialists (perfect recipe for Europa football). One criticism of Jose is that he is like a Ferrari (running costs are high); the challenge to him is whether he is capable of emulating Fergie's success in bringing on young talent.
I'm sorry mate but we are 2nd in the league... In the Champions League knockouts and got to a quarter final. Plus we have the FA Cup to come. How anyone can say 'Jose Out' is ridiculous. I'm not calling out all CFC fans but the ones who aren't happy with not winning every ****ing trophy. I hate to say it but we have a type of fan who since Roman has come along, pays the money for the expensive season tickets, doesn't go to away matches and yet expects us to win 3 or 4-0 every single game. And that is not on at all. How can you be a real fan of the club if you say one of the most successive managers in history should be sacked in 4 months? It's a joke. You can call me 'poor' for saying this but it's the truth.
No mate my comment wasn't aimed at you in any way so sorry if it came across as if it did! I'm just fed up of us sacking 2 managers every year! I couldn't give a hoot if it was Jose or another world class manager but with us having some fans saying 'Jose Out' after 4 months... I despair I really do... Not with anyone on this board though!
