If we lose Saturday and there is a good chance we will... Will rafa be sacked? .. Does he deserve the sack? It will be the worst start to a top flight campaign for a long long time. Any other club he would be gone Thoughts please .
No he will not ....................... if Ashley stuck with the likes of John 'Best Coach In The World' Carver, i'm pretty sure he will stick with Rafa. In my opinion we vastly over achieved last season................ Ashley got a hard on and thought that Rafa was some sort of magician that could turn water into wine regardless of how stagnant the water was. Rafa has to shoulder his share of the responsibility .................. sticking with Joselo through thin and thinner for example, but whole atmosphere around the club seems pretty toxic at the moment ..................... and only one man is to blame for that. The bigger problem is that Rafa will want to spend in January to keep us up but Ashley will almost certainly not sanction it because Rafa will leave at the end of the season regardless. Saying all of that, a couple of back to back wins and it's smiles and Greggs Steak Bakes all round.
I would not have thought so. Obviously he is not having his best season and nor are the players. I think most recognise though he has had a rough ride off the owner, and all the pre season shenanigans has affected his and his players mood, which in turn has had a negative effect on performances. Add in a tough run of fixtures. That isn't trying to absolve him of culpability, but its important his underperformance has context. This little break came at the right time and I expect to see him attack the rest of the season in a more positive fashion. The time for excuses and feeling sorry for ourselves is gone, we need to knuckle down and do a better job. That is the owner right through to the fans.
Who knows what Mike Ashley will do next. Stop breathing, hopefully. The fat, ugly, money-grabbing count [sic]
He won't need to be sacked if the Chron () are to be believed () - as MA is giving next to no money in the January transfer window.
If it is the case Rafa gets nothing in Jan and ends up walking or even if by some miracle he keeps us up and walks at the end of the year is it really a case of #IfRafaGoesWeGo? Will fans stop turning up? I mean Ashley is pretty much making Rafa's job impossible atm with lack of investment so no funds in Jan could spell relegation for us at which point Rafa will leave by hook or by crook.
They'll still turn up mate, we always do. Its been worse than this even under Ashley. The ideal is Ashley goes. However I have my doubts on two fronts. One Ashley has little motivation to sell unless someone is offering a great price. He and his other business interests are doing really well out of Newcastle. Two I'm not sure we've had any serious bidders. I mean PCP went really quiet and never convinced they were serious.
