Apparently it’s a 12 month extension but he needs to sign it to get transfer funds. If I were Rafa i’d Tell them to shove it right up their fat lying arses. No way can anyone work under conditions like this. ****houses.
I hope he quits tbh the sooner the turmoil the better and there's already a few plebs turning on him.
Ashleys a big enough prick to say he'll sack him otherwise .. i.think rafa will leave in the coming weeks maybe even days.
He won’t sign. Just like he didn’t sign the last contract which came with the same ultimatum. Unbelievable way to try and run a Club. You are given nothing, in real terms, to spend and some fans still criticise Rafa on the quality of players bought. Again unbelievable. Time to criticise Rafa is once he has had a reasonable chance to run the team and if he then botches up, not before.
IDC. I wouldn't offer him one, what's the point? As usual there's absolutely no sense in this typical Newcastle United FC bollocks. Charnley/Ashley couldn't run a tap. It's **** with him, **** without him, makes no discernible difference. Ashley pissing off is the only thing that will ever change this football club. What I'm trying to get at is there's very little point having a decorated manager who can change infrastructure for the better when the rest of the club won't do a thing about it. He's always been known for rigidity, stubborn-ness and defensive tactics, there's no point in him being here as we don't need that. We are MILES away from getting anywhere near a trophy, so trying to play to scratch out 1-0 victories is irrelevant when most of the time we can't either score, nor keep the clean sheet. We don't need hit & miss transfers, we don't need someone who will moan about how **** the existing players are, moan about needing lots of money then ignore Sorensen, Roberts and - for the most part - Longstaff and Sterry. We don't need someone who buys/loans 4 different wingers then actively goes looking for another, we don't need someone who plays 1 up front against lower-Championship opposition. We don't need someone who picks Joselu over Mitrovic. He knows how bad this is, he should either put up, shut up or **** off - we will be no worse without him, because we're more or less as **** as we can be. The only hope I see is that with a new manager, we might get a bit of bounce and attacking impetus. It would be nice to see some football played for a change, instead of the turgid dirge we get week in week out. There's not a ****ing thing we can ever do to make Ashley go. He'll sell if/when he's ready, which should be soon. But why does the 90 minutes of football have to be as bad as the rest of the club? Rafa's a more amenable version of Jose. From player criticism (jose's a lot more direct about it, Rafa just moans in general about how bad the players are) to parking the bus, to aiming for a clean sheet first, it's all the same crap.
Something interesting for the blinkered apologists to digest. http://www.espn.co.uk/soccer/italia...i-and-marek-hamsik-rebuild-after-rafa-benitez
I agree. The football we play is boring as hell. If Rafa did have a blank cheque book he would buy players who are defensive minded and we would just do what we do. But just a little bit better.
That actually happened tbf ! I was right Listen to yourself man wete lucky to have a world class manager Its people like you that got robson sacked and then pretended they didn't.
ICYMI I'd struggle to get Robson sacked living in ****ing Kent. http://www.espn.co.uk/soccer/italia...i-and-marek-hamsik-rebuild-after-rafa-benitez Read that. Every, single club he's left has struggled to rebuild. Disastrous, expensive and turgid reigns at Madrid, Napoli, Chelsea and now Newcastle. You need to take the Rafa specs off, pal.
A list of big clubs Who's the great manager you want to replace one with such a good CV. You're deluded my friend We finished 10th last season and the aim was 17th The aim this season was 17th . He's over achieving
Who gives a **** about a CV? Did you read who took over his mess at Napoli? Sarri, having avoided relegation with Empoli (his only "achievement"). Where's Sarri now? The world doesn't begin or end with Benitez. It certainly doesn't begin and end in the Premier League. But interest in football IS ending with this dreadful style of play we've suffered for the past 3 years and coupled with Ashley's disgusting, abhorrent ownership it's turning the next generation of fans away. The only delusion, bud, is your side in thinking he's the only hope we've got. I don't dispute the problems lie with Ashley/Charnley, never have, but my eyes are now open as to whether Benitez is as good as he (and many others) think he is. It's interesting to read actual journalism about Rafa's travels, rather than rely on the blinkered views of a tortured fan base. I understand why so many NUFC fans believe the sun shines out of his arse, we've been treated so badly with the likes of Kinnear, McLaren, Carver and even before them Fat Sham, Sourmess, Gullit. But to suggest what we're watching is acceptable, that the confidence of the players, the fact they're out of position, is all acceptable because it's Rafa? No chance.
