Lee Ryder just tweeted that Rafa was asked if this was his biggest win as Newcastle Boss..... his response was.... 'Hopefully not - because there will be better ones in the future'. Bend the knee to the great one. All hail the Rafalution.
God NUFC is such a rollercoaster. You never feel confident that they're going to do anything, whether that's win, lose or draw, and the club's future can look so rosy or grim from week to week.
Don't wish to put a dampener on things but he also had this to say on Sunday: Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez is ready to quit at the end of the season, rather than go through another transfer window under owner Mike Ashley. (Mail on Sunday) http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/ar...ezs-Newcastle-future-depend-takeover-bid.html
Rafa won't go anywhere. If we stay up he'll have done the hard work to get access to the TV money. He will feel that will be enough to compete. We won't make the jump into the upper echelons without serious cash, but he will think he can make us best of the rest. Next week is massive now, back up yesterday with a win away at Bournemouth and I'd feel pretty good about staying up. I've always said we would, I think we have enough in the squad. Our away performances have been excellent, and now we have a game plan at home we can replicate. We saw these players have switched on and are ready to scrap. Provided the manager doesn't let them get too carried away, capitilises on the feel good, then we can scrape by.
Are you saying you dont believe an article quoted by the BBC Gossip Column from The Mail on Sunday? - shame on you.
