If anyone happened to catch the pop quiz on Ken Bruce's show this morning, the first contestant was none other than my own better half. Lost in controversial circumstances but did herself proud.
That's not sufficient. I want the winner to be decided by referendum (with the current remain and leave campaigners all representing the other side).
That's very efficiently done (better than my friend of a friend twice removed's untested effort). Thanks Eamon.
Well I've listened to it Matt, and your delightful better half Debbie was robbed ... twice! Peter was timed out on the 'Freedom' question and shouldn't have been awarded a point on the Devil went down to Georgia one. For what it's worth I matched Debbie question for question until the final one. I went for Edison Lighthouse when it was Manfred Mann's Earth Band. But I beat Peter by getting the Charlie Daniels Band correct. I could only name two Bonnie Tyler songs in the final bit though. I hope Debbie isn't too peeved about the outcome, she did very well.
Thanks Nines. She was a bit gutted (she keeps saying that she humiliated herself but it's not true). She knew the Charlie Daniels band too (and got 3 Bonnie Tyler songs - the one about French walkways or whatever it was). In fact, I think both players would have scored higher on the other person's questions (she got 30 on his). Thanks for taking the time to check it out though.
She shouldn't feel disappointed with her performance. She did very well. The one's she ( and I ) couldn't answer were a bit obscure to say the least.
I'm proud of her for having the nerve to do it. For balance, I would have got 6 points on hers and 9 on his (too few mid 2000s indie questions for me)!
