If Cala is indeed the guy who is taking us over, than it will be good night Vienna for Pompey :(

"The Man from Atlantis" will have us wound up before our trip to St Marys in April I'm sure. How the FA, The Football League, Androniku and Lampitt could even give this guy the time of day is beyond me!!!

When you consider the turmoils, troubles and tribulations that have beset Pompey over the past few years I think it's quite an achievement that we (a) still have a club and (b) have a club holding its own in the 2nd tier.

Not if Cala comes in we won't. This guy seems to be worse than our last 4 or 5 owners all rolled in to one :(

To be fair Jake, we don't actually know if AA, DL, the FA/FL have given him very much in terms of the time of day. All we do know is that he has had an interview with The News and has claimed himself to be the front-runner. The articles in the Independent and Daily Telegraph appear have come from what has been reported in the News and a bit of digging into his business history.

Anyway, whatever way you look at it the man is a prime nutcase. If he does move permanently to Portsmouth it'll probably be to St James's (does that hospital still exist?)

I am still of the opinion that although the board of the FL are buffoons even they aren't stupid enough to allow Calamity/Calamari/The Man from Atlantis to become the next owner - if only because one of the supporters trusts will sue them! Damn it I'll sue them myself if they let him have the keys to the office.

WHY US!!! <grr> That's all I want to know?

We're not a bad bunch. We love our club and city in the main. We've never asked for much although many of us always had dreams of glory like our fathers experienced in heady days long gone, but we've just got on with supporting unconditionally, whoever dons the red white and blue, and....finally enjoyed a little success, but at what terrible cost? You really could'nt make it up.

FFD, I have often asked myself the same...........like many others. All I can say, is that when we come through this latest pitfall with CSI and our re involvement with AA and co......we will be for the better. Lets be honest, at least Antonov has been found out now, can you imagine if it were in a few years time, perhaps with a little more success, bigger squad and subsequently more over heads, imagine if we were half way through a ground rebuild and they came knocking for him then...........that would really be the end!

I always had my doubts with Antonov, I have come across him in the past, CSI had no structure and was funded and ran on his majority and financial input.

Cala, is a business throw out of chainrai...........Chainrai will not want to loose his familys investment......believe me he will not cross his family or allow that to happen!

When AA refers to "preferred bidder" it is not Cala..........but its all being played very close and nothing is being released. The consortium have insisted on complete anonimity until the time is right and everything has been agreed in principal. Cala, as I understand it is the last chance card if all else fails.

AA loves being in the spotlight. What other administrator do you know who speaks to sky sports news???

Just imagine Him, Milan Mandaric and Harry Redknapp as business partners. Talk about a public company <laugh>

Well at least you no longer need to fret about him becoming involved with your club.

Must be a relief surely that he is not going to be in charge. Has anyone any Idea who the other interested parties are? Someone mentioned a consortium?

I stopped supporting Pompey as I felt that my money was not going to improve the team, club infrastruture one iota!! That was back in the days when Milan Mandaric would "talk the talk but would never walk the walk" No more needs to be said about the owners since. I just feel who ever comes in it won't be in the intersts of the club. Only way Pompey fans will get change is to stop ploughing money into the pockets of "dodgy owners" and set up a new PFC outside the Football. Wimbledon fans have managed it! I'm sure Pompey fans could with a new PFC. Or do you guys really want to spend years watching continuous mediocrity??
