Horrible news coming out that Jose Antonio Reyes has died in a car crash this morning, near his home of Utrera. He's only 35. My thoughts are with his friends and family. Just goes to show how short life is. R.I.P Reyes, outstanding player and forever a part of our history. Gone, but never forgotten.

What an incredible career he's had. Scored the winning goals to seal Real Madrid's first league title in 4 years in 2007. Won the Europa League five times (2 with Atletico Madrid, 3 with Sevilla). Was a crucial part of the Invincibles squad to win a league title with Arsenal. Won the FA Cup in his penultimate season with us. Such a talented player. One of my favourites to watch. Regardless of his undeniable talent and successful career, this is heartbreaking news. Such a young age too. I hope his wife and children will get all the support they deserve. I also hope they will commemorate him before the Champions League final tonight.

What happened was a tragedy but reports now show that he was driving at 147mph, well over the speed limit, and that his brother - who was a passenger - was also killed whilst a second passenger suffered major injuries.
