The PC agenda by the elite classes to try and shape football/working class behaviour has gone too far. - Players banned for Swearing (Rooney) - Players banned for celebrating with fans (Robben) - Players banned from wearing snoods - Players banned for tackling (fairly) - Players banned for being in close proximity of an opposition player that has simulated (Shaun Derry) - Players banned from wearing tape - Players banned for talking to referees (Mascherano) - Players banned after being cleared in court of racial abuse charges (Terry) - Officials banned for tongue in cheek comments to players post game (Linesman) - PLAYERS NOW BANNED FOR KICKING FOOTBALLS please log in to view this image
DL, the whole episode is a scandal and a farce, and the FA cannot come out of this with any credibility or dignity if it punishes Hazard and not Swansea FC. And, by the way, that fat Welsh cheating ball boy should be banned from ever attending a football match, for his entire life.
So what? The rules for players and equipment are simple and well documented. In what other profession can you expect to ignore the rules without punishment? Players get carded for kicking a football when it is a free kick to the opponent every week. And those cases don't even involve violent conduct. Strange you only started whining about it now.
The whole saga is a farce, both the ball boy and Hazard were twats for their parts in it. But as pointed out, Hazard is a professional footballer who is bound by the rules of the game. If he had kicked out at another player who was holding onto the ball, he would have been sent off. The fact that it was a ball boy, just makes it worse for him.
The "political correctness" pussies are actually the ones siding with Hazard. They seem to think it's too much of a burden for someone being paid a multi-million pound salary to go 90 minutes without appearing to push a child to the ground and kick at him while being broadcast on television to a worldwide audience. In any other profession violent conduct in the workplace gets you sacked. Hazard isn't getting sacked, isn't losing a penny of his wages, and yet our hearts should bleed for his human rights being so viciously violated.
When and if the FA ever apply their rules fairly to all players from all clubs, then your point is accurate. Until then, it's a load of old pigs vomit.
I agree and that is what is forcing the FA to act. It's also hopefully a one-off event so trying to compare the punishment to anything else is futile
Yes, and Suarez also being banned for sticking two fingers up to Fulham fans was also fine. But some Chelsea fans are intent on dying on the hill of their players being able to push and kick ballboys when it isn't even their ball to have.
If I was in the workplace and expecting a very important call and someone came and deliberately sat on the phone to prevent this I would certainly kick them off. If I then got the sack because of that I would expect them to be punished as well. It takes 2.
You simply cannot kick a ballboy even if the ballboy was behaving in an awful way. This will lead to chaos. It is pure chance that the boy was not hurt.
Firstly, he didn't kick the ball "boy." He went for the ball and some of his fat got in the way. If that is how you want to see him "kicking" the "boy." Secondly how often do you see a player who has just scored run and grab the ball so they can place it back in the centre circle to speed things along when a goal or two down? It's not their ball to have or indeed to hurry but it happens every time. The excuse that Hazard shouldnt be there is not valid. Had that been a goal and a player or ball "boy" been lying on it they would have been carded for time wasting and not allowing the game to continue. Everyone needs to get a grip. The ball "boy" was influencing the game. Hazard was trying to hurry it up.
can you imagine if poor little Charlie Morgan was African or Asian the FA would probably try to pin racism charges on Hazard to thats how shameless these pratts that run English football are the vast majority of which have never played or have had very little to do with football at all.
Why? If someone sat on the phone I'd let everyone in the office see it...and laugh my ass off at them for being a twat in public...what is the point in kicking them? The ball boy was a twat and Hazard was a twat...neither are victims cos nothing bad has happened. The FA should leave it be... Where the **** is everyones sense of humour...the pair of them were so ridiculous it was hysterical! The main thing that puzzles me is why so many people think a twat being a twat in a non violent way deserves a kicking...says a lot about the world and it don't look good to be honest.
The sooner people get this into their heads the better. Hazard did NOT kick the ball boy - he kicked the ball. Massive difference. As far as I'm concerned, that is not violent conduct. The idea that Hazard went for the boy rather than the ball is ludicrous. Anyone can see the pain of contact that the boy expressed was milked to it's full extent - like most players nowadays, I'd be surprised if he even has a bruise. While I am not saying Hazard had a right to go over to the ball boy and get involved, I am saying no further ban should be added for violent conduct. He deserved the red, because he put himself in a position that action by the referee had to be taken, but further action, especially with the video evidence, is just outrageous.
So you'd ignore the phone ringing and lose a very important deal while you were laughing your arse off then. I doubt it. I also said I would kick them off (the phone) not kick them. I keep my sense of humour for funny situations, and I didn't find it funny at all, just very sad really, as this is what football is now becoming about, I hate all the cheating, violence, throwing things on pitches and at players etc. I just want to enjoy a good ol' game of footie, without all the crap.
Girls, girls girs. perleeese Kid messes with a ball, a la every fekkin ball-boy/girl in the country, your twat of a player kicks him and you girls start squeeling for the ball-boys head. Your as pathetic as your over-priced, over-paid, manicured, under-achieving bunch of failures you have the missfortune to support. The reaction to this incident has taken Chelsea FC from a team of European champs to a mindless hurd European chumps. Anyway, we're on our way to Wembley and wont give you another thaught. You should trust in Rafa, he's far too good for you by the way.
Shameful post Stumpy. Thought you were educated. That sort of post isn't what we're about as Swans fans. Both parties at fault. Stupid ballboy, daft Hazard. Both knew they were wrong hence two apologies. Why the FA need to get further involved is beyond me. As I've posted on our board this has damaged the reputation of our Club and that is down to the ballboy (the 17 year old one who shouldn't be a ball boy anyway). I don't give a fish's tit if other clubs do it, Stumpy. It's wrong. End of. [Edit: Le Tiss has just said on Soccer Saturday "The two most important parties have put this behind them why can't everyone else? We should be talking about Swansea's achievement in getting to the final." ]
