He was one of those players I always dreaded us coming up against. I remember him struggling under the weight of carrying mark Falco in his pocket one year. Also great player for NI. RIP
Former QPR player. Played for N.I in the 1986 world cup & recently managed the pride of East Belfast Glentoran. Died today from a heart attack at 48. No doubt Mick and the buoys will be on here soon to poke fun at the dead prod.
Any need to bring up his background? Especially considering (if I remember correctly) he was very peaceful
I remember England playing N Ireland in a 0-0 draw in the last qualification game for Mexico 1986. He played out of his skin as you would have expected. The England fans all started singing "it's a fix" with 10 minutes to go. He went mental in the post match interview) I thought he was going to punch the interviewer!

Yes he was a nice guy but let's be realistic, he was a Protestant playing for Northern Ireland, to Mick and all the other buoys that's worse than pissing on a dead nuns grave.
I don't think anyone has a problem with Prods playing for NI, we all know what happens to some people of other faiths when they have the gall to represent their country though. Death threats, bullets in the post et al.
Medro apparently doesnt care about Irish League football or Glentoran when I point out they are complete ****e at the mo. But hes more than happy to start follwing them whens theres pre-emptive points to be scored against fenians who havent even said a word You live a sad life child
He was running a trophy shop in Bangor. I told you I don't follow Irish league but Glentoran (and the Gertrude Star) call themselves the pride of East Belfast.
