Just been watching MOTD2 and had to share this if anyone was not watching as it made me lol. During highlights of the Norwich Vs. Liverpool game the commentator came out with "You have to feel sorry for Ricky Van Wolfswinkel, he just can't score" No doubt we will be looking to add him to our squad next season if Harold is still in charge.
I remember Motty commentating on England v Germany many moons ago and, as a throw-in was about to be taken, said something along the lines of: "...and Germany enjoying a long period of possession at the moment... [then as the action resumed, and almost muttered under his breath]...Kunz..."
There were those on here a couple of years ago wondering why we didn't put in a bid for him. People are very quick to quote the success stories that we "missed out on" and "should have signed", but we don't hear about those who chose to go elsewhere and have done bu**er all .. mentioning no names (Gary Hooper et al).
I think you will find that although he has missed a fair bit of the season through injury, Gary Hooper has scored eight goals for Norwich in the Premier. That is hardly being a failure. I wished we had had someone who could have scored that amount for us last season!
