Saved the best until last! These three are superb and bring back some memories (well those post-1980s for me!) Football stadiums then and now - interactive quiz: http://www.theguardian.com/football/ng-interactive/2014/dec/22/football-stadiums-then-and-now-interactive-quiz http://www.theguardian.com/football/ng-interactive/2015/apr/02/football-stadiums-then-and-now-interactive-quiz-part-two http://www.theguardian.com/football/ng-interactive/2015/dec/22/football-stadiums-then-and-now-interactive-quiz-part-three I scored 8/10, 6/10 then 5/10 - so 19/30 - just below play-off form!
10/10 (we've had it at least twice on here, even I learn through repeating the same mistakes), 8/10, 7/10 grand total of 25/30. There is one very mean trick question in there.
I got 5/10 on Tramore's quiz, 5/10 on part II and 3/10, 7/10 and 1/3 (it then crashed on me) so maintain an average so dull that there are calls to sack the manager in the hopes that a new one can attain perfection.
4/10, 6/10, 3/10...it's interesting to see how the grounds have been modernised as opposed to those scrapped for new locations.
I had done the first two very recently, but this is the first time I have seen part three. A score of eight, but very annoyed I talked myself out of the other two!
8, 7 & 9 = 24/30 I really liked the way you can merge the photo's. Especially the Liverpool v Everton one at Maine Rd. It was quite hauntingly poignant to see Emlyn Hughes standing in a spot that still exists today in a non football environment. Also the final one at Highbury in 1949 has a certain resonance in contrast to the modern monstrosity of flats that now inhabits the site. The Arsenal players appear ghostly when you merge the two photo's. Great post sku
Thanks QPR999. My favourite is the Charlton Athletic one - which if you fade in and out - is excellent. When I saw that one, I remembered the fans singing 'back to the Valley, we're going back to the Valley'. I also loved the architecture of the old grounds though - especially the high vaulted roofs like at Molineux - with its wonderful curved lines of the facia, and the finials topping off the detail at each ridge.
28/30 Saw high scores so took it slow and the answers are in the pictures Got Wembley and brammel lane wrong
