It'll be interesting to see whether he accepts it....he'd definitely be playing week in week out for a champ club, and there would prob be 1 or 2 PL clubs who'd want him starting every week too, I can't see him ever being 1st choice with us, unless we go down....

Stephen Quinn gives everything he's got when he pulls on the shirt. Ben Arfa has all the talent in the world, but plays like he doesn't give a ****. Who would you rather fight our corner ?

If you sign a new contract does that void the sell on clause from when you purchased the player from his previous team?

Great news. Quinn's combination with Brady on the left before the latters injury last season was the best I've seen in our squad. Quinnie is a real fighter who is a great crosser of the ball and can score goals. He needs to be playing regularly. Otherwise he has a right to move on to further his career. We already let Georgie Boy go. Lets not lose another player who is the heart and soul of our team, and play temporary mercenaries in their place.

Oh my God, i can imagine that <ok>

What i will say is, Quinn has more talent than Ben Arfa has heart...If you get me.

Quinn has so much more of what we need.

Where is the incentive for him to stay? I think he's terrific, but he hardly gets a look in. At his age he deserves regular football. For that reason, I can't see him staying.

When positioned against Bruce's tactics, team selection and substitutions, it makes no real sense.

Does anyone remember the huge amount of stick I got for saying we should keep him purely for this reason? If we go down he should be the first name on the team sheet. I'd actually have him in the team now. If he hadnt come on at DQPR I think we'd be sitting here now with 3 fewer points and a lot worse off, he changed the game.

    Brilliant. I love these responses.

According to Quinns stats he has played 9 times - let's break that down.

Quinn has started and finished 2 from 13 games (Villa/Newcastle)
Quinn has been an oncoming substitute in 5 games (QPR/Saints/Burnley/Spurs/Man U)
Quinn has been an outgoing substitute in 2 games (Stoke/West Ham)

He has made 9 appearances or 430 minutes of league football out of 1,170 available (assuming 90 minutes a game) he's played 36.7% of the time on the pitch available to him (league fixtures only). If I was an International Footballer at the age of 28 - I'd want more than 36.7% playing time - wouldn't you? Quinn strikes me as the sort of player and character that would want and expect more too. That's why I expect he will leave.

I'm pleased he has been offered a new contract - I want him to sign it - but suspect he might not.

    Hope I'm wrong.
