Well upon are recent for of 1 win in 10 is completely unsatisfactory.

I personally don't understand why Campbell played today.

Why Lovenkrands gets games is beyond me.

But the whole team looked hopeless, relegation form if you ask me.

    Are next games are

    Wolves (Home)
    Aston Villa (Away)
    Man Utd (Home)
    Blackpool (Away)
    Liverpool (Away)
    Birmingham (Home)
    Chelsea (Away)
    West Brom (Home)

I don't really see us winning any of these games im afraid.
Just got to hope games go are way.

Come on, you cant see 3 points out of Wolves, WBA and Birmingham at home and Blackpool away? Should be aiming for 10 points from the home games, no excuses to go for a draw except maybe Man U. Also Villa away is winnable, they look very poor this season.

    Optimism <ok>

I'm just worried fella, really don't want to see us self destruct.
I would love to see us beat those teams, but we just lacked the cutting edge.

Wolves, West Brom should be very interesting, they have excellent crossers of the ball. Which we seem to lack today.
I know Barton has come back from injury, but how long is Enrique out for?

    Young ferguson looked ace.
Any ideas when Best is back?

Tiote not available for 2 matches = GRRRRRR.

We'll have players back v Wolves in a couple of weeks, we WILL beat them and be on the verge of safety. That's all any of us ever wanted this season and we can still do it.

17th is what we wanted at the start of the season and 17th would still be good. 3 teams we have to play in our run up are on free fall.

i dont think 17th is what we wanted. i think 17th is the worst acceptible case scenario for most geordies. but from being around 7th-10th most of the season would you be satisfied if we dropped that potential 10 places in the league? yes we may survive. but we are the mighty toon! we can do better than that!

Ahh no worries, I hope it was an off day, but Stoke are hard to beat at home.
So maybe thinking we could win was a tad unrealistic.
Good luck for the rest of the season. :)

I think anything above 17th is a bonus - I'll be happy staying up and if that means we finish 17th then so be it. Yes, we have some good players if our first XI are fit - but the fact of the matter is that for a significant chunk of the season we've had key players injured. Stay up this year, get the likes of Gosling and Ben Arfa fit, plus 4 news signings and we can do better next year. But this season we're no different to any other promoted side, 17th would represent us achieving our aim this season.

I might be wrong but i think the bottom 6 will be between Wigan, West Brom, Blackpool, Wolves, Blackburn and toon so basically we have to get 6 points from somewhere the only fortunate thing is we have some points on the others the folly of the Jan transfer window tho oh sorry another Ashley rant sorry cant see anyone else to blame tho. God forbid we went down again how could he face this one down. Any apologists out there prepared to defend him
