I think boys, that if you read most of my posts over the past week, I stated on many occisions that Leicester were a decent team and looked good against Burnley last week. I havent really got any complaints about the ref TBH more about how we couldnt and didnt finish our chances. i'll be brutally honest I think we completely ran the game for the 1st half but didnt take our chances. LCFC had 2 and took 1. Caught out for the goal by a lack of speed from our CB's. Where was Ned? 2nd half a lot more even and poss 1 of the 2 penalty shouts COULD have been given. Lets be honest...O'neil should have been off for that challenge. If that was against us we'd be f**king livid. That Klocky bloke was crap. Did nothing all game and BAE mugged him so many times that he popped up on the other side of the pitch towards the end. Nugent was fairly anonomous. Kranky had a good game but needs to be more selfish. few times he should have pulled the trigger instead of passing. Phillips should have shot first time and scored. With all of this taken into consideration I'm actually quite happy. It was one of the best NPC games I've seen for a while. That was one of the best performances we have put together this season. We played as a team and it was at a high tempo. If we carry on like that all season we'll be fine. Im more worried about Derby than Burnley or Leicester TBH. Overall, my genuine and unbaised view was that we should have got the three points from that game BUT they scored and we didnt so thats that! We really do need another striker to help Charlie out, even from the bench. But we're still 2nd so onwards and upwards. COYR'ss
good post Queens, saw it similar although a little weary. Missed the squirrel episode coming back from the Xmas party and couldn't believe how comfortable we were looking. Leicester looked very workman like in comparison to us and had Austin or Phillips had the same type of touch that Vardy had, we'd be celebrating being top of the league and 5 clear of 3rd. A good game to watch, but I would have preferred to be a neutral BTW, heard that Hoops from South Australia and Sydney are booking flights for Burnley... could be the first Australia gathering
Good post Queens. All feels better after a night's sleep and there was plenty to be encouraged about. When / if Harry has a fully fit squad to choose from, we will see even better football played. There's a timely reminder in another thread not to be arrogant or take anything for granted and that is right of course. An unlucky day at the office - onwards and upwards.
Good post that, sticks out like a sore thumb on here! Disagree with the Derby bit though, Leicester will be above them come the final reckoning imo.
Good write-up, Queens. One thing though; I thought Kranky (in the first half) was too slow to pick out Austin who had made great runs into space. I even would go as far as to say that I got the impression that he didn't want to give him the ball. We should have buried the game in the first half, that's for sure.
