not too in depth as im out on the piss soon.
Snoddy played just behind Holt, looked busy for a while but went missing and missed a great chance in the 2nd half.In my view nowhere near as good as Hooly.
Howson pressed very well and was best player for me,one criticism would be that he does need to go forward more.
Tierney was exploited a couple of times and the visitors missed a couple of sitters apart from that he did ok.
When morrison came on and Snoddy went to the right we looked better,in saying that Bennet looked good on the wing.
Next season will be a lot tougher,we wont concede as many, but we wont score as many neither.Good turnout from the Germans, around 100 turned up.

Yes, I wouold have liked to have seen Howson get forward more. Snoddy did OK and I'm sure will deliver in time - he needs to get used to playing with his new team mates, whereas Hoolahoops has been here for ages.

Tighten up the passing and we'll be OK I reckon.

I thought Johnson had a fairly decent performance but it almost looked like our first pre-season friendly and not our last.
Barnett came on with 5 minutes to go, attempted 3 passes, two went straight out of play and the third led to the second goal - it was almost hilarious!!

Barnett as back up is a very worrying prospect, after what we saw today. For the two passes that sailed into oblivion he wasn't even under serious pressure. I hope Whittaker gets fit soon and/or Francomb makes the grade, because I can see Russ Martin spending a lot of time deputising at CB if Ward and Barnett are the only realistic alternatives.

Think we should wait until they play a game in anger before judging them. Fulham lost to Carlton today but I doubt we think they'll be bad next Saturday.

Let me be the first to tell the truth - we were awful and if we continue like that we will be in for a very hard long season. Completely and utterly aimless and that is putting it kindly. In truth we should have lost by far more.

Its clear as day that we need another striker, especially if hes wanting one up top on his own. Morison should be ahead of holt for in that case as holt is hopeless at leading the line on his own. I also hope not to see snoddy behind the lone striker at fulham, he belongs on the right wing. Weve only played poor against Ajax and borussia and they are in a complete different class compared to us. Sunderland lost Leicester, Soton lost Udinese 4-0 at home, Fulham lost to Charlton at home. Results and performances are not the be all end all in friendlies but barely getting a shot on target let alone score in several games is a concerning problem.

I'm sorry but Morison cannot lead the line on his own, he is hopeless at it, I'd sooner use Jackson.

Morison, cannot control and hold the ball up as he is technically still in the lower leagues. He can have about two touches max when the ball is played up to him before he has to get rid of it (even then it is mostly to an opposing player).

Morison is a hopeless hold up man, he's an aerial threat only in my book which is not the same. Being able to head a ball does not make you suitable to play up front on your own.
