So if Ayite & Aluko play well they could get called up for African tournaments during our season.

The Club is happy to announce the arrival of Nigeria international Sone Aluko.

The 27-year-old attacker joins Fulham on a two-year deal, with a Club option for an additional 12 months, following the expiry of his contract at Hull City.

A product of Birmingham City’s youth academy, Aluko took in loan spells at both Aberdeen and Blackpool while on the books of the Midlands club.

A permanent switch to Aberdeen came about in 2008, and his form for the Dons saw him sign for Scottish giants Rangers in 2011, where he netted 12 times in 21 league games.

He moved back south of the border in the summer of 2012 when he joined Hull City, and he scored eight goals in 23 matches as the Tigers won promotion to the Premier League, something he helped them do once again last season.

Aluko also has an FA Cup runners-up medal, after coming on as a substitute in their extra-time defeat by Arsenal at Wembley in 2014.

A former England youth international, Aluko has represented Nigeria on seven occasions and has scored twice.

He will now join up with the rest of the group in Cork as preparations continue for the new season. Keep an eye on fulhamfc.com for Sone’s first interview on Friday afternoon.

He'd better get his skates on if he wants to be at the game against Cork tomorrow. Here is his interview at Motspur Park earlier (I'll pretend I didn't hear that the "4 or 5 minutes chat with the manager" was what convinced him to join.)

Could have been FI - put it down to my dotage. Guess the main thing is that he fits in to the boss' plans.

    Kalas interview
New signing Tomas Kalas reveals that Fulham's desire to bring him in convinced him it was the correct move, and sees no reason why they can't fight for promotion from the Championship in 2016/17.

    So far we replaced:

    Kacaniklic with Ayité
    Dembélé with Aluko
    Burn with Kalas
    Garbutt with Odoi

[Always assuming Odoi joins us tomorrow as he said he would]

Priority now must surely be O'Hara with ... a quality defensive midfielder!

Denis Odoi explains why he wanted to join Fulham, and reveals a conversation he had with former Whites midfielder Mousa Dembélé prior to making the move.

Well done Mousa (the 1st). Could be wrong again, but did he say he hadn't actually spoken with the boss yet?

No matter, comes over a solid guy and love his juggling!

The Club is pleased to announce the arrival of left-back Scott Malone, in a swap deal that sees Jazz Richards move to Cardiff City.

The 25-year-old joins Fulham on a two-year deal, with a Club option for an additional 12 months.

Malone started his professional career at Wolverhampton Wanderers, enjoying loan spells with Hungarian outfit Upjest of Budapest, Southend United, Burton Albion and AFC Bournemouth, before moving permanently to Dean Court in January 2012. He scored five goals in 32 league appearances during his time on the South Coast.

He made the switch to Millwall that summer and was voted Player of the Season runner-up in 2013/14 as he helped the Lions to safety in the Sky Bet Championship.

In January 2015, he signed for Cardiff on a two-and-a-half-year deal, making 54 league appearances for the Bluebirds, the first of which was against Fulham.

A former England youth international, Malone made six appearances for the Under-19 team.

Furthermore, we would like to wish Jazz the best of luck in his native Wales, and thank him for his efforts during his time at Fulham.

Indeed we are. And David Button has agreed a three year deal, with a Club option for a further 12 months.

As we know the rumours have been around for about as long as he is. Good to see it done though.

The latest rumours are around the fee, which was apparently the reason for the delay. The £2m being banded about is thought to be not far off the mark. However the story is that it is a more modest £375k up front with the balance being made up of add ons, dependent not only on his performance(s) but ours - promotion being a key one!

A Brentford friend of mine is well p....d of saying we have lost Tarkowski, Bidwell and now
Button, on Button he said not spectacular but good positional sence and commands his area well,
Lets hope he is a stalwart who can drive the team foward

The signing of Kevin McDonald has just been confirmed by the club! He's signed a 3 year deal with the option of another year.

It had went a bit quiet on this one, was having my doubts as to whether it would happen or not, pleased that it did. I'm sure Cottager58 will be ecstatic with this news.

And the other good news ... as mentioned on the Rumour Out thread

"The Club can confirm that Fernando Amorebieta has joined Real Sporting de Gijón on a permanent deal for an undisclosed fee [common knowledge it was about £300k].

please log in to view this image

Amorebieta joined Fulham on a free transfer in the summer of 2013 and went on to make 48 appearances, scoring twice. We’d like to thank him for his efforts during his time at the Club, and wish him the best of luck back in Spain
