Hi guys, I usually go to a lot of away games but couldn't make it last night as I'm saving (well trying to!) for a holiday so I'm just sticking to the home ones at the moment. Anyway, was just wondering, for anyone that went last night, what was the game actually like as radio commentary never really gives a great perception in my opinion. I can appreciate you guys focus more on your team than ours but did any of our youngsters impress and catch your eye (Carroll, Livermore, Luongo and Townsend)? Did Dos Santos look any good as it seems he's finally getting a few chances under Redknapp now (only taken 3 years!). And finally was Pavlyuchenko really as awful as it sounded? Because so far he's been utter tripe in the games he's played in this season. Well done on the result guys, I really wanted us to win especially after having to play extra time but it's a learning curve and great experience for some of the younger lads and hopefully we'll bounce back against Wigan on the weekend. Any feed back will be much appreciated.
Thanks for that S or S. Carroll (No 46?) looks a really decent prospect for you guys. He was into everything! How old is he? Looks about 16!
Livermore did play well I thought, never stopped trying and I have been reading the Spurs board. Complaints about Pav..? He didn't look to me like he was interested last night. And, seeing that he doesn't start that often for Spurs.. I now know why. Always thought he was a really good player. On the evidence of last night he looked average. For me, Livermore stood out as probably the best Spurs player last night. And yes, Carroll he looks about 15 but showed a lot of great touches.
Cheers for the feedback guys, sounds like a typical Livermore performance, very committed and determined, he's a local lad too so everyone wants him to succeed at the club and the way he's going he's certainly not harming his chances. you're both not wrong about Carroll looking young, he is actually 19 though! He's been a breath of fresh air as we didn't really know too much about him until this season, he had a good loan spell at Orient last year in which we were able to catch a glimpse of him when they played Arsenal in the FA Cup but bar that he's just pretty much burst onto the scene which has been a joy to see. Once again cheers for the feed back guys, all the best for the Utd game
