Strange goings on up the road mate and no mistake. I can understand why a managerial job at the mags would be a sought after position but that was before Ashley got his mitts on it. It may have been ok to start with but when the fans turned (death threats etc) it`s understandable why he would think `bollox to you lot`. I don`t know whether that caused his attitude or was a result of it. I think he got conned by Shepherd & Co and took exception to it. Now it seems his only interest is getting his money back. No outlay, no ambition, content to sit mid table for ever and take the league money. No manager with serious aspirations will take the job on. It`s a going nowhere club and a going nowhere job. Until Ashley sells up I can`t see that changing and until it changes who would want to buy it? A hell of a catch 22 but Ashley can win just by staying put. On a list of his top 10 things to consider, the fans are about number 86. That`s the way I see it.

That's why I think Bruce will be his choice, 6 months left on his Hull contract. Cheap as chips, Bruce would take it too. Then Lennon to Hull and sit back and enjoy the show. That's my ideal outcome anyway.

I think if he`d been going to do that he`d have done it before now. When he gets his money back though? That could be a whole new wrecking game. Depends entirely on how vindictive he wants to be.
I have little doubt he would take the job but I can`t see him being offered it for the reasons I`ve already said. He hasn`t got a brilliant spending CV and his clubs keep going backwards.
