If they were playing each other, do we now want those teams just above us to lose, or do we want the teams just below us to lose? Now we're on a roll, should we think more about finishing top half rather than just staying up?
Well there's a few of them playing each other today - and Huddersfield have score in the first minute.
I will admit I have a slight invested interest in asking. Before the season started I put £50 @ 14/1 to return £750 on us finishing top half. Up till now the cashout has been zero, but after last night's game it's now flagged up - they're offering me £1. Should I take it?.......
Our 'rivals' fulham southampton burnley Huddersfield Palace wolves newcastle brighton 3 will go down from that. London FC will be ok.
Strange - I could have sworn you said we were going down to play in the Championship next season - must have imagined it.
That's not what you said in your post - hedging your bets Hilts? Pre-season I posted the drop trio of Huddersfield, Southampton and Fulham and that still looks likely to me. However, I didn't think Burnley would be this piss poor - HTF did we lose to them? With Ranieri now at Fulham, Burnley could replace them on the trap door. As long as we aren't on it, I don't really care.
Losing to Burnley and drawing with 10 man udders look to be quite costly at the moment. Saying that, I think we might have got a draw and a win the way we are now playing. I know, woulda, coulda, shoulda. Important 2 games coming up. 2 points minimum to stop either getting away. Think 4 points are achievable though. If we're in touch come the end of the month, will we see the inside of Tan's wallet?
