As the team were in Essex at 10pm last night, and then have a game in London on Saturday, would they stay in the South of England until Saturday and borrow training facilities from another club, or do they waste 2 days travelling backwards and forwards?

They can't have travelled back last night could they? They would cramp up. So that means they travel back this morning. Then the only training they could do would be a light session on Friday, then back on the coach for Saturday's game.

I'm interested in stuff like this - sad, I know

Yeah Ross said in an interview earlier in the week that the lads were staying down London area and that couple of the injured lads were travelling down today to meet up.

    That's good

Someone at work was telling me that they would come back up here, which I thought would be stupid.

Staying down there is a great opportunity for team bonding, especially after the last 2 results

That would be ridiculous, to do a 550 mile round trip in 2 days.

It would also be a reflection of a serious financial situation if we had done that!

Now the squad has 2 full days together, bonding and training! Whats not to like about that!

Yeah. Obviously there is no expense spared when you are in the Prem
My other team (South Shields) travel to Saturday games on the Saturday.
I was just wondering where a League 1 team positions itself in all of that

Ive seen the Luton, Mansfield and Stevenage squad buses on Saturday mornings on the roads down here going to their games. I guess the lower leagues just don't have the money to stay overnight.

Think it’ll have changed slightly. Doubt they’ll be in the Radisson or Hilton. More likely the type of hotel I’d stay in when I’m away (decent enough with a gym and pool) which won’t cost thousands per room for the week.

I wonder whether they will get back in to sharing rooms (and halving the cost)

Years ago I stayed at the Hilton in Southampton the night before we played them (the Carlos Edwards and Grant Leadbitter game). The southampton team were staying there as well. The players looked bored ****less, knocking on each others doors saying that they were bored.

I was soooooooooo tempted to set the fire alarms off at 02:00am
